Ok off topic now for a second - is it a regular SLR or digital?  And which one?  I've been in the market for a digital for a while and am about to break down, thinking about the Nikon 5200.  I have a few older cameras, one being a Pentax which takes film, but much as I love it (prefer too), it's become difficult to buy and get developed, plus I want the immediacy of the digital now.

EDIT: I just realized you used the word "lab" so I'm assuming now you're using film.
No no, lol.

I'm at the university computer lab. Making images of Windows 7 to upgrade the PCs here (byebye Vista). Nothing to do with cameras.

It's digital. Canon Rebel T3i.

Haha! When I hear "lab" all I think of is chemicals.

T3i is one I'm also considering.  I have a Canon but it's a point and shoot.

Well, had to cut short the picture taking expedition. Snowfall starting to get really nasty and seems it won't stop falling until late tonight.

Tomorrow!

It did a little around 10 AM, but just flurries. It's now been snowing for 2 hours or so. I'm baking Christmas cookies for a cookie exchange tomorrow, and I hope it's still on! The other meet-up group cancelled a morning event because of the snow, even though it hadn't started yet (it was brunch at a restaurant, and I was really looking forward to it!). If they cancel, I'll be stuck with 8-dozen chocolate chip cookies and Oreo balls!!!! Help!!!

We're at minus 18 right now and could go as low as minus 30, brrr! l have to leave for work at 6am and we're supposed to get up to 10 inches overnight and in the morning. Tomorrow is my last day of work before the Christmas holidays. l may be sorely tempted to stay home!

I suppose you don't want to know that I'm sitting here in shorts and a singlet after getting a little sunburnt in the garden?

Um, no. Not really.
Winter hasn't even begun yet and I'm already tired of the snow and ice. And the cold.

We may have ended up with about 6 inches or so. It got really gusty late afternoon yesterday and I stood at the kitchen window watching the snow blowing around. Will get outside later on and take some pictures.

Andrya, hope you made it out OK!

Cory, how much snow did you get? Looks like you got a ton of the white stuff.

I'm so impressed with how you all manage.  I've never lived anywhere with snow... not sure how I'd cope!

I think about 8 - 10 inches. I'm taking public transport for the next week or so, that's for sure. Going out later to take more pictures - the snowfall stopped during the night, around 4am, but now it's falling again.

We're thinking between 5 and 6 inches here. The sun has been out and it's about 32 degrees F outside right now. It's definitely melting a bit as our road is pretty much clear. Still have some work to do on the driveway.

But I can tell you that Rupert is cold. I probably should have cleaned the snow out of his left eye, poor guy.

Pam, I'm not sure exactly how much we got but it was around maybe 4 to 5".  I forgot to take pictures and now everybody has already cleaned off their cars and sidewalks.  Russ did mine earlier, the roads are completely clean since the maintenance guys clean it up quickly.  Ok so this storm is over, I don't want to see snow for awhile.  It's supposed to be 41 degrees today so way above freezing and the snow is softening up.

Well, you can't have Rupert or Apex, sorry. (I love those guys.) But you can come and take all the snow you want!

I know it's a pain in the bottom, but it does look absolutely beautiful.
