Please bring in your pets from the cold. We all love being warm at night so does your pets.

How long do you leave them outside to do their '' business ""?

Not all cats want to come in.  Things are not always what they appear.

No they don't all want to come in.  I had 2 dumb cats that would go out if it was freezing cold or raining- get soaked and then show up like "Hey- I'm wet".

Her Royal Highness HollyHeart does not like wet or cold.  This morning- she was at the door begging to go out.  She went out, watched a squirrel for a minute- then ran back to the door like "Hey- it's cold, I'm done"

Sam won't even try to get out.  But we got him as a kitten from a shelter so I have no idea what the first couple of months of his life were like.   For all I know he was wandering around alone until Animal Control picked him up

In the kitchen
When we first brought Whisper into the house, she still wanted to go out to poop. Well, it was the third week in December and we had a ton of snow. Whisper decided she needed to go out, so we opened the kitchen door. She went out onto the deck, jumped off the deck, and into a snow pile. Scurried around a bit, pooped, jumped back on the deck and came in the house. That was enough for her, thank you very much. We could hold the kitchen door open right in front of her and she'd turn around and walk away. Outside? Nope. No more. Not in this lifetime. She never had the desire to go back outside for the rest of her life.

Autumn has no desire to go out winter or summer.  When bringing groceries in, the door is wide open and she just sits there making no attempt to even go near the open door.  She is more interested in seeing what's in the grocery bags especially if she smells something good.

I do know we have feral cats outdoors and I pray every night that He will keep them warm and safe.  I cry often when it's this cold knowing the strays I've seen outside have nowhere to go, it just breaks my heart.

When we lived at the apartment Momma used to dart out.  Well she got smart one day and would from then on dart out and RUN for the crawlspace that was missing a panel.  She would walk around meowing(8 apartments in eachsection-4 on first floor 4 on second.  Had to watch as when she was done you would find her sitting at wrong apartment and she even got in my neighbors apartment once!  The ONLY one I knew there who was TERRIFIED of cats:(  Ran in and under her bed

Well it had downpoured for DAYS-few cars were flooded out.  It was a quiet day and she ran in.  SPLASH.  2 seconds later out she comes SOAKED all over. Husband and I were laughing so hard he had to run in and grab a towel and we had to rinse her off as she was so muddy.
