Hi,

I just posted some pics of my super happy blind-from-birth cat Jenny in the cat pages forum.  She is an amazing cat who runs our entire house!  She can't see you (haha, sorry!) but you can see her and her step brother at http://www.thecatsite.com/a/our-blind-from-birth-cat-jenny-and-simon-felix

And if you want you can see her at her public facebook page at www.facebook.com/jennytheblindcat - if you visit her there please feel free to LIKE her.  And say you came from TCS and then I'll know who came from here!

Thanks

Stephen

What an amazing story! I'm don't have Facebook so I can't help, but I wanted to say what a wonderful home she has.

Peaches,

Jenny's facebook page is public so you don't need an account to see her pictures or video, you just can't comment on what you see.  But feel free to visit and enjoy her.

I forgot I can add photos here so here she is.  At a vacation cottage she likes climbing this vertical ladder to get to the loft bed.  She can really do it but sometimes she goes up the wrong way and gets "stuck" although usually figures it out without us helping her.

And here is a 6 second vine video of her going the whole way up!

Aww, for Jenny. It's amazing how resilient cats are. It's hard to believe she's blind.

Trust me many people say that.  And when they see her in person even more so. She can get anywhere she wants basically, and she knows our home so well she rarely bumps into anything, her whole world is about spacial memory, tactile memory and all the other things that contribute to her ability to navigate through her world.  And she is a demanding little princess too! :-)  No one sent her the "i'm blind" memo.

And here is a short video of her running on the beach on vacation.  I know it sounds crazy, but she loves it, there is nothing for her to bump into and after about day 2 she figured that out and started running and jumping, so happy.  She can run a little bit in our apt but its not the same thing for her.  For those of you who are worried, she is always 100% supervised outside, she doesn't run away and there are no threats to her where we take her.  Not even any cars nearby.

This is a public link, anyone can view it.
