My older kitty (14 years old ) has been diagnosed with Chronic Pancreatitis.  I was wondering what the best diet for her would be.  Right now we are just trying to get her to eat anything period, so she's eating fancy feast, meow mix cups (hubby picked up a variety of foods just to get her to eat something), and some canned i/d from the vet.  Her appetite varies, what she eats well one meal the next she may not hardly touch, she is on an appetitie stimulant (cyproheptadine) but I was wondering for long term management once we get her over this hump what is the best diet for her to eat?  What are the dietary restrictions that we need to be aware of with chronic pancreatitis?

I'd try brands that are high protein and low carb or grain free like Evo or Nature's Variety or even try raw food

The best diet for a cat with chronic pancreatitis is hard to say because it does seem very individual. What works for one cat may not work for another, a lot of trial and error unfortunately. Have you seen this site yet? http://www.ibdkitties.net/

While it is devoted to IBD kitties, because IBD is sometimes combined with pancreatitis, there is a lot of good info about it. Feeding a species-appropriate food is always important. However, making sure an ill cat eats ENOUGH is the most important because of the risk of fatty liver disease.
