My cats are 8 months old now and we just got a new 5 week old baby. My boy is scared and will hiss and run. My girl will follow the baby and swat at her. How can I make their blending happen easier? Please help!

5 weeks old is a very young kitten! They really shouldn't be separated from mom and siblings till at least 12 weeks old.

You will have to step in and be a determined cat mommy. The other cats will have to step in and teach them the rules of the house.. but first, they need to be properly introduced

Have you checked out this article on introducing cats?

Hi, welcome to TCS!  It would probably be best to set the kitten up in safe and comfy place, introducing her gradually to your big cats.  DH found a tiny kitten in a parking lot in the pouring rain.  It was so small that a distance, he thought it was a rat.  My mil agreed to take the kitten.  She set up living quarters for the kitten in the bathroom, complete with a little bed, a litter box, food and water.  They kept the commode lid down.  (Even at such an early age, this kitten was fascinated with water...she would had drowned herself.)  Now a still petite, but fully grown, Lucy rules the house.  She took up with the boy cat, Chester, and they play constantly.
