Weird dot on cats nose

Hi everyone, recently one of my cats Cody has formed a black dot on the top of his nose, he's 5 years old and has always been completely healthy yet it appears to look like a freckle but I'm not sure if I should be worried because he does sit in the sun all day and has a pink nose.

Skin issues tend to often look alike, so much so that even vets often don't diagnose visually, but do scrapes and cultures etc.  But anytime you see a growth or a change like this to the skin you need a Vet to look at it. Many skin problems start out as minor things but if left untreated could become very significant.  Please contact your vet for an exam.  Good luck and let us know!
