Hi all- I've rescued and fostered three brand new baby kittens. They're 2.5 weeks. I am bottle feeding(using a syringe, they wouldn't take the bottle) and stimulating every 3-5 hours.. We're trying to get them used to soft food and eating from a saucer (vet recommendation). Please give any advice you may have. Also- is it normal for one(not all) to meow a WHOLE lot? They All meow when they're hungry or hve to potty, but one of them is vocal 90% of the time. I usually have to leave the room for a good 10 minutes before he stops and falls asleep.. Naturally I feel terrible.. Is the normal?

Some cats/kittens are more vocal than others, but if one is constantly yowling I would have her/him check out. Kittens will cry when they are uncomfortable for any reason (hunger, needing to pass stool or void, too cold). Is the more vocal kitten eating as much as the others? How about it's output?

Keep checking their weights to make sure all the kittens are gaining normally.

As for basic tips, try rubbing a towel on your face then giving it to the kittens when you are away. You are now their mother and having your scent near them will comfort them.

This particular kitten is the "guardian" of the bunch. He needs to know whe his brothers and sister are near and where they are if they are not near. He eats just as much if not a little more than the other two... Although the boys are pretty evenly matched.. He also was the first to pee and poop in my care. So that was awesome. They have a heater right by them.. Tonight, singing to him and rubbing his belly for a while seem to help. I read on another forum rubbing their bellies makes them digest better.. So I made sure to rub each belly tonight.. It seems he is more vocal than the others but they are all quiet right now! So thankful for that.. :)
