New to the forums, thought I'd poke around some. Been AGES since I actually used message boards instead of just FB. But figured I'd hop of FB awhile and visit some of the other areas on the web to socialize and make friends. :-)
I am a stay at home mom of 2 kids and 2 kitties (one who thinks he is a kid, too, and terrorizes my boys like a sibling). I do foster care so always have a baby in the home (though right now I am baby free after having my last one leave a few days ago - so far no new calls). I do emergency, which is short term placement of less than 3 weeks. I only take up to a year old, so typically pick up newborns from the hospital. While my own kiddos are in school I work three different direct sales businesses to try to help out with the finances so my husband doesn't have the burden of everything on him alone. I sell Javita coffee (weight loss coffee, and next month weight loss tea!), Pink Zebra home (candles, flameless scents, delicious smells I am so addicted to!), and my latest and most exciting joy - For Tails Only, the first direct sales company for PETS! We are in pre-launch, so are not officially open yet (not until the 15th! One more week to go!) and are still working on building things up and getting things established right now. But it is going to be GREAT!
I am an avid cat lover and always have been. My Leo is laying on my desk right now looking out the window while I type. He is my "other kid" - he comes running when I call the boys in for dinner, sleeps with the kids (he thinks the big chair in their room was put there for his bed), and he thinks all the baby equipment was put in the house specifically for him - the crib, the bassinet, the playpen.... He goes for walks with us around the neighborhood, eats dinner at the same time we eat, watches tv with us... Goofy cat. He can't stand it when we go out back to swim. He walks around and around the pool watching.
Anywhoooo. I'll stop here and start poking around the forums more to see what I can get involved in and start chiming in!
