Happy Sunday
. We're having the first snow of the season here in Pennsylvania. It looks beautiful. Does it snow where you live? Do you like the snow?

I kept hearing we may get snow this afternoon here in NJ but it seems like it will be mostly rain.  I love Fall and Winter but no, I do not like large amounts of snow or any amount of ice.  The cold itself doesn't bother me tho.

Yes it does snow here. I like the snow only if I don't have to go out in it :D. It seems that the older I get the more I dislike driving when the roads are icy or snowy, if I don't have to go out I don't. Unfortunately I have to work and the weather and my work schedule tend not to work to well with each other. Dislike the cold also, my hands and feet get cold very easily. During my senior year of highschool and for a few years after I worked as a cashier at a grocery store. The registers where in line of drafts that would come through when the doors opened or closed. It would get so bad that I started wearing the cheap knit gloves that I would cut the finger tips off of, otherwise my fingers would get so cold that it was hard to handle the money.

On average it snows once every 5 to 10 years here. I absolutely love the snow. I really wish I could see it more often. I often wonder what  a white Christmas looks like to. I've never had one in my life.

It snows here, but so far not this winter, despite some forecasts calling for it. A few flurries don't qualify as snow. I don't mind snow so much - it's black ice I dread, and we get that far too often.

It does snow here but it is not regular.  Some years it can snow for two or three weeks at a time and be quite hard getting anything done as noone knows how quickly if will stop and thaw, then everywhere tends to flood.  Some years it doesn't snow at all but can get cold, say -10 C for similar periods of time and yo9u don;t know how long that will last either.  Really unpredictable.

If I have to go out in it, and go about my work then no, I don't like it much but when there is bad snow and transport is hard the atmosphere with everyone getting together can be rather nice.  If I don't need to work or go out then I love it.  It looks amazing and the effect it has on people living as a community is a good thing.

I snowed Friday and today. I like to see the snow come down but I hate the cold and hate to walk in it. When the snow has stopped and on the trees at night its nice to go for a little walk.

Since we're in Pennsylvania, too (central PA here), we're getting the same snow. I am not amused. Rick already said he's taking me to work tomorrow morning because of the freezing rain that's coming down now.

We had snow last week, so this isn't our first snow, more like our third one, I think. The first two weren't all that much, tho; this one is a few inches.

Do I like the snow???

Snow is very rare rare here. I think the last time was 1989.

Can Rick come drive DD and I to the hospital tomorrow morning?  DD has to get a procedure done on her thumb and we have to be there before sunup I think!  Fortunately; it's raining here right now and warming up. But we had snow and then freezing rain earlier today.  I actually had to stick our jackets over the heat vent because they were still damp from playing outside with the kids this afternoon.  We didn't even try to go to church.  My parents were visiting family down in the mountains of North Carolina and they actually drove through the night last night to get home and miss this storm.

I spent the first 12 years of my life in Upstate New York and I don't recall one white Christmas there.  But then about 11 years ago my parents had gone up to spend Christmas with that family and they got buried in 3 feet of good ol lake effect snow in one day.  So you never know.

Well, he's on his way to work right now.....just dropped me off at the office. And I'm sure you're already on your way to the hospital for your DD's thumb. Be careful driving. The roads around here aren't too bad. But untreated roads are just horrid.

Had a snowfall today, the first "real" one since winter. WHite enough to cover everything. Ever seen untreated, untouched snowfall at 3 AM? It's beautiful. I almost didn't want to walk outside and spoil the beauty with footprints.

Don't get much snow here.
You can have ours. Seriously. Please. Take it. Take it all.

After dealing with snow, sleet, and freezing rain yesterday into last night and then into this morning, we find ourselves under yet another winter storm watch. This is to start Tuesday morning around 3:00 or so and give us 3-5 inches of snow by 4:00 Tuesday afternoon. I am not amused.

Belize....I swear. Cats and all.

It was raining and about 37 out; but the roads were fine.  Just wet.  It wasn't much warmer when we came home around 10.  Most of the area schools north of me had a delay.  it's amazing; the next county up got way more snow than we did.  I would have cancelled if it had been icy.  She wasn't in pain and it wasn't a life threatening issue; nothing worth ice skating over.  The hospital is right next to a lake practically; you have to drive by it. And to me that is twice as scary when it's icy.
