Hi I'm new lol. We just adopted a two year old cat (who was pregnant when we, got her) took her to the vet on the 3rd of this month and he said she might be a few days to maybe ten days to go (she isn't easy to feel and kept trying to do a runner lol) she's been nesting for a week or two, we keep her in the bedroom where a nest is made for her (we have a male so since she might be close we're keeping them away from one another) I can see her belly moving and her nipples, are a rosie pink now, still no milk that I can see. Tequila doesn't like her belly or privates being touched lol. For the last four nights she has been waking me up around 3-5AM meowing, only to want pats, food or to take my pillows lol. She eats a lot normally but tonight not so much. Also she grooms a lot all over, and keeps pooing in the shower (pees in the litter box. Is she close?

Is your male cat fixed? If not I'd get him fixed now or asap. I'm not sure how close your girl is. Since you don't know the date of conception it's anyone's guess really. If she's nesting she's fairly close. Can you feel kittens moving in her belly?

We could but like the vet said she wasn't easy to feel lol he is, she was pregnant before we got her. The vet said a few days to ten days so 4 left if the math is right.

You found a great site to help you through this.  Yes, she sounds very close.  Small pains can start early as the kittens get repositioned for delivery.  She is probably coming to you at those times for comfort and reassurance.

Many of the members here are well versed in the delivery of kittens.  Follow thier advice on preparations.  That will help you out a bunch.  Most of them have way more practical, applicable advice than most vets.

In many of these threads, I have seen them talk people all through the whole process.  However, they will also be the first ones to tell you that if you suspect a problem, don't hesitate to get to the vet.

You have a great support team here.  Available 24/7 it appears.

Thanks! She's been nesting for the past two weeks, and with waking me up that's what I thought after the I was done thinking she was going to give birth! And to add we are getting her spayed once the vet will do it, I thought she was ready last night as she didn't eat as much (has licked away the sauce from her wet food and nibbled on her dry) if it's any help her nipples have only just gone Rosie pink to lol took awhile with her, we're sure it's her first litter too

To add she just let me feel her belly ( shocked) and I can feel the kittens on the bottom of her belly not so much from the sides if that means anything

It may mean the kittens are getting into position to be born within the next couple days.   ( it's a bit uncertain though because they can move around in there )

Does she look a bit less wide from the top than she has been,  but with her belly looking bigger/ lower if seen from the side ?

There's a white discharge that's around her bum ( can't get closer in to look, she doesn't like it) she's meowing a lot more now, is it normal for her to not to be in her nest? She just lays under our table in the bedroom. And there's a lot of movement today with the kittens!

I didn't check this earlier,  but it sounds like that's probably from the mucus plug ,  and the meowing a lot may be that she was starting to have contractions.   ( but could be that the kittens are moving so much that it feels weird to her..  or could be she is still worried about whether she has picked a good place to give birth.

I wouldn't be surprised if you come back and say she's had the kittens today.

No, it's not exactly ABnormal she isn't in the nest.    they sometimes go other places than where you'd like them to go or what seems like it would be the most comfortable.    I almost think there IS no "normal".

This looks like we'll see kitten photos in just a matter of hours!!!

We once had an outdoor (so called feral) cat - that we used to feed - sneak into my mom's closet for delivery. Even though we had prepared a warm comfy place that she had nested in...

She's sleeping with me on the bed (doesn't normally stay on here for too long) she's more on the side then her back like normally, hopefully haha she's been mind tricking me for a week now with false labor XD I'm hoping she will have them while I'm home (doing training for adult disability care) we let her out to see misfit (he was going nuts having not seen her for almost two days) and that calmed him down haha she only comes out of the bedroom to do her business (she won't use the litter box) or to sit out with me in the living Rooney :) ****we are keeping her in the bedroom so misfit can't get to her, he keeps trying to play and she loses her **** pre fast****
