It was a stink bug.  Ugh!  I was sitting in the kitchen floor and she walked over and dropped it right beside me.  I saw it's disgusting white belly and flailing legs and screamed.  I understand about cats giving gifts, but why would she think I would want a stink bug, something she personally wouldn't eat under any circumstances?  I guess when you're strictly a house cat, you have to make do with whatever gift you can find.

What a prize!   The best bit has to be if she managed to bring it to you without getting stink bombed herself.  A stinkbug scented poocat would not be nice.

One of my cats long ago named Mama Cat  used to bring us mice and layed them on our porch.I hate mice and rats. She always went to the corn field and caught these ugly things.

Gifts are gifts, regardless of how the begetter feels.
They LOOOVE you. I think it's their way of giving back to you.  At least the girls tend to bring it to you in ONE piece.  Years ago, my Tang brought me what was left of a kill after he was full.  The hind end of a BIG squirrel, right at the foot or MY recliner

I think whole dead mice and bugs aren't so bad.
 for not dismembering the thing!!!

Good point.  And at least it wasn't a spider.

Me, too. I've had to clean up all sorts of things-- I've received "gifts" of rodents, birds, a BAT, lizards, snakes, all manner of bugs including earth babies (which I think are the most disgusting bugs on the planet) and even a banana slug once.
