As this isn't really about the kittens care I figured "cat health" would be a better place. Anyway I have 4 nearly 7 week old kittens that were preemie but are all doing well now despite being small for their age. Three have very ordinary coat colours (orange/white, redish orange/white, and a calico) while the last kitten has a mixture of patterns and colours (patched tabbie? caliby? torbie and white?). She also seems to have a bit of a vision problem as well. Could her eyesight be at all related to being born early or something else entirely?

Stormy (my son has decided we MUST keep her and the rest already have homes waiting) tends to walk into objects and trips a lot. Her eyes are not runny at all and they physically look okay but her pupils seem to always be dialated. She does blink if something (a finger when I checked to see if she could see at all) comes near her eye though. Any ideas what I can do to help her out?

Her first vet check up was a couple days ago and he noticed her pupils as well but didn't really give me any ideas as to the cause or what to do for her.

Poor baby.  She may have very poor eyesight.  Even if she does she will adjust.  She is still so young but if her eyesight is very poor she will adjust.  If it turns out that this is permanent it would be a good idea not to do a lot of rearranging.  She will learn her way around and be fine.

Thank you Denice. All the other kittens have completely normal blink reflexes and reactions to light. We've padded the sides of the kennel she sleeps in so she won't be bumping her nose on bars. Even with those eyes she has learned how to find then climb nearly to the top of our Christmas Tree
