My cat has a lump on his nose. Its dark and hard. He doesn't seem to be experiencing any discomfort. I'm going to take him to the vet, just curious until then.

I've tired so many times to attach a picture but it won't work. Sorry. But the lump peeled off. And now it is just pink/raw skin.

Any chance the cats nose was sunburned or he got a bit too close to a fireplace? My cat Star had a similar bump and curly whiskers after snooping around the fireplace as I was cleaning it out.
Put some antibiotic ointment on the cats nose (he will probably lick it off) and keep a close eye on the spot. If another lump grows back be sure to take him to the vet.

He has no kind of hot anything in his environment. I did clean it and put antibiotic on it.
