I have a 7 year old special needs kitty (she has Cerebral Hypoplasia) and she has broken 2 of her canine teeth in half (as she is unsteady on her feet she has bonked her face on things and broken them). I'm pretty sure they're gonna need extracting as I think they are causing her pain, she is still eating normally (Well for her she eats less than 1/4 cup per day), she's a good weight though. But She won't let me look in her mouth, she acts painful and paws at my hands when I try. She also has 1 fang that is still a kitten tooth as her adult tooth never came in, so I am assuming they will extract that one too. She's going to the vet on tuesday with me as I work there. Will she do okay after the extractions? Will she be able to eat normally? She will just have one canine tooth left, her other teeth are still stable so I don't think there will be any other extractions. I have tried my darnedest to get her onto a canned food diet, but she refuses, she will lick the gravy off of it but that's about it.
