After wrangling individual cat beds (they hated them, all three varieties of them); then wrangling quilts & a fleece footie blanket (for cooler nights as we sleep with the windows open) -- we finally broke down & purchased an orthopedic dog bed that both boys can fit on.

It seems little Monty continues to claim it from end to end as long & big as  he is.   They both actually sleep on it at night, but come 'nap time' throughout the day, it's one or the other.

Hard to tell from the pic but Monty has his paw on Si's face & his head on his side while they are sleeping.  Si has always been our upside down sleeper

This is Jade and Stella, Jade is the short hair one, this picture of her is kind of old, when she was younger her coat was really thin and you could see some darker marble tabby markings in it when she was in the light, now her coat is thick and solid, but she never holds still long enough for a picture. And Stella appears to be black smoke, although she might be black with an unstable base coat, either way she is undoubtably the cutest cat I've ever had.

Kattopu, the Maine Coon looking one, has found a new mommy 100 miles away in San Diego who has renamed him, he is now Luigi as the new mommy had lived in Italy for 8 years and wanted a cat with a new name. After he was in his new home for two weeks I visited him and I could not believe how much he has changed in just that short a time. 1) he is not trying to escape through the front door anymore 2) he is not squalling down the house every time new mommy goes out the front door 3) he is not climbing any higher than the back of the sofa besides his new favorite place: a garden window above the kitchen sink 4) he has grown his ruff and "eyebrows" a lot 5) he has NOT scratched the furniture even once. He is starting to look like a real Maine Coon.  This is what he looked like when I first got him, no ruff, no eyebrows and not  much whiskers.

New mommy and Kattopu/Luigi are a match made in heaven, a really good adoption.

This is what he looks like now, a big improvement in whiskers, eyebrows and a magnificent ruff. He's perfect but for being cow hocked and                                                                                                                                            splay-footed.I was sad to let him go but he was just too much for the resident cats.

This is the shy foster, black Patrick who is out much more now. He even rubs up on my leg and sometimes puts his paw                                                                                                                                                                             on my leg. Sometimes I can even pat his back and tail but as soon as he notices he is gone like a flash again.

you can see he's not all black but sort of brownish/ grey underneath his body and tail

and like all my cats he's crazy about the banana which is getting really beat up and sort of soft.

Kattopu/Luigi immediately got a new banana and a  Cats Meow in his new home and is getting terribly spoiled. Well, he's an only cat now. But these cats who live in my home get plenty of loving too. Patrick is even pestering the Birman Capucchino and the Persian Bebe, but stays away from Panthera, the black DSH who doesn't take any guff from Patrick.

this is Panthera, he had some weird growth on the inside of his left ear next to the edge and the vet had to cut it off, got one stitch  in it and the vet cleaned his teeth while he was under sedation. He didn't even have to wear a collar and the vet said this was a benign growth, sort of like a wart that children get, but it had to be taken off. Panthera was fine the same day, got to go home after just 6 hours loaded with antibiotics lasting for 2 weeks when I will take that stitch out.

This pic makes his eyes look yellow because of the indoor lighting, they are usually so light green/blue that they look white.

Love Rico's swiffer tail @betsygee
That is a really lovely photo of the pair of them, what a shame Ozzy wasn't photo-bombing from behind the door so you could catch all 3.

Just found a bunch of pics of black cats I've had, some have passed, the black and white took a walk from which he did not return. He had sneaked out as he    had done before, he was supposed to be indoor only. His name was Bustapher, he had the longest whiskers ever.

here he is on the tree just hanging out. He looks like he is just about to pounce on something but this is just the way he would hang out.

Here he is hugging an all-black long haired boy  named Mephistopheles with Sascha who looked like a Russian Blue but was just a blue cat
