Quote: Look at the ears on that cat. They are so big and straight she must be receiving Voyager!!!!
Don't worry, she'll grow into them.
Lol. I think they're perfect.

Your right! They are beauties! Really pretty and well taken care of, you can tell!

So why did the one go to the shelter and back to you again or did I misunderstand your post?

Some gorgeous pictures!
Blackberry, looking ominous on top of the grape arbor.  She is actually very sweet.

And Rue, who I mistook for Blackberry when searching for pictures.  She is not black at all, she is blue!
Anyway, she is Blackberry's sister, enjoying our wonderful Secret Santa gifts.

I am fostering this lovely longhaired black cat named Patrick. He is so scared of everything that he hides under three blankets on the guestroom bed. I have not been able to pick him up at all, he's fast as lightning, has the sweetest little chirp. He's a big cat although you can't tell by the pic, he's 3 years old and his parent had to go to an assisted living facility. The parent's caretaker was scared of cats and would wave a cane at him to keep him out of the way. Poor Patrick. Now he is so traumatized he won't let anyone pick him up. I can pet him through the blankets and he starts purring like crazy, I can even pull the blankets a bit off him and pet him that way, but anything more than that and he freaks out, burrowing farther under the blanket. He will stay with me until he is socialized. At first he was kept seperate from the other cats in the guest room, now he comes out in the evening on his own and watches the world go by from his station under the dining table. The other cats don't bother him and he just watches them. If one comes close he just looks. I have not been able to get any better pictures of him.    Sometimes he will sit in the carrier, it's a really big one, he seems to feel safe that way

. When he does come out he seems to be at ease as long as nobody tries to pick him up, then he runs and hides under the lowest furniture. Nobody will adopt him until he gets over

that fear, it will be a long haul

Kitten Sophie just has to hang with me when I'm in the kitchen. At 1 year old she rules the 5 other cats in the house. My neighbors must hate me as she is always running up and down the hardwood steps. She's a sweetheart. I also have Sally Ann Black who is 8 that Sophie loves to chase around.

This is Truffles! She's my first cat and I truly feel she is special
the fluffiest, cutest, most loving and tolerant girl in the world.

She's also a chirper, gotta love those trilling noises!

Yay for black kitties :-)
Is that a fluffy tail I see behind those tufty ears?

Couldn't agree more about those little trills, my girls were chirpers too.  (Mouse squeeks LoL)

This is my first boy Domi. He just passed on April 7, 2014 and I miss him dearly. He was an amazing cat that sometimes thought he was a dog - lol. He was 17 in the picture outside and loved to go for walks on his leash. He was the most social cat ever!! After we lost his brother in 2013, he enjoyed going for car rides while laying down on the front seat.
I adore black cats and find them to be irresistible. I just got two other boys and neither are black so I will have to wait awhile to get another black beauty.

RIP My little monkey Domi

My Shadow was born an outside cat, literally he was born from a feral cat that abandon him.Yes we made sure he was abandon before taking any action as to take him.You can't keep a cat inside a house if they never in all there years been inside one.So cats that you adopt from a center yes you can,but taking one from outside who is an adult now is a no no.Even trying to force them as you suggest is a really bad idea.Forcing a cat to change can cause stress on the cat, which in return can cause illness. It can even make your cat not like you anymore and make the cat prone to escaping.
Miss Purdy was feral and lived outside for 18 months then I took her in and she became an in and out cat, now at age 6 she is an inside cat unless she sneaks out somehow!
