Loving the name'
Poor little Ella Monsta looks very sad here sitting on this laptop; I take it she doesn't like you using it.

Very sweet fluffy baby.

Lol cheers....she was originally named Ella but Monsta is what stuck and most of the time she still lives up to it :-)

Pretty much re the laptop but thats more because shes not allowed it as a toy or the fingers when its being used. As far as shes concerned everything is a toy and humans are for playing with not for pats :-)

Im no expert i was told she was a black smoke and agreed after seeing other pics of them on google. She does have the white based hair but it doesnt show in photos ..... its literally the first few mm only. I pinned her down tonight and had a look at her coat and its still there (esp her belly) but its is definitely less than a few weeks ago.

So maybe it was her kitten coat only?? She definitely appears to be getting darker to me. Id take a photo of her belly for you but need someone to hold her to do so.

Forget about the belly hair. Look at her back, part the hair like you would with a comb and if the hair is white where it comes out of the skin and then is dark towards the ends then you do indeed have a black smoke. Smoke can also come in other colors like grey or red, it's always a surprise when you see it . When your kitten gets older you'll have an all-black appearing cat and when she moves you'll see the white flashes, very attractive. Congratulations.

hmmmm this is making me wonder about my girl Jet. I've never had a black cat before. When i part her fur. it looks like a dusty white/light grey. She's about 10-11 months old now. so in appearance she looks all black, with some REALLY dark brown (she likes to sit in the sun)

Would she also be considered a black smoke? probably not i'm guessing. lol. she just looks more black than anything. when she was younger she looked very similar to @Nikiwink  's little girl, Ella Monsta. like a dusty/not quite all the way black-black.

A smoke's fur is dead white at the roots, not grey of any shade. Especially young black cats tend to have grey coloring closer to the skin. Enjoy your all black cat, and yes, the sun will bleach her hair to brown. Since you are not putting her in cat shows it does not matter that she turns brown, my black Panthera does too and in Southern California we get a lot of sun year round.

Awww, @seasaltysiren  ,  Luna is too cute.
Great photo of her too.  Brilliant ears and little white spot, she is going to be a real stunner as she grows up too I bet.
