This is Worf, my youngest, I found him 3 months ago in an abandoned construction site.

This was taken few days after I found him

It wasn't easy to find out how old is he but my guess is he's about 5 months old because he started changing his teeth around the 1st of November. But he is huge, he has over 9 Ibs. He is not fat, just big boned
This one is newer.

HI Sandra, welcome to TCS

What a great name you've given to your boy!  It's almost like you knew he'd wind up being a large cat lol.

You mentioned that he's highly allergic, but didn't go into specifics to what.  Being as large as he is, it seems food isn't too much of an issue, although quality of food can have a bearing on cat allergies - many cats don't do well with foods that contain grain in it for instance.   Or, It could environmental? I see he has the cone of shame on in the 2nd photo, is that from him being neutered or to prevent him from licking/biting himself?

Also, he might be a little bit older than you think - I seem to remember that kittens can start losing their teeth up until around 6 months of age.  Not that this would account for him being so big, but it could be another reason.  He looks like a good size - not overweight as you mentioned. It could be that he has the genes of a larger breed of cat mixed up in his background - something like a Maine Coon (not that I see any MC in him, being short haired, just relating to size). I don't think I would worry about his weight unless he starts to look pudgy.  A 5-6 month old kitten should way about the same number as their age in months - so he could just be ahead of the curve a little bit, and might level out when he reaches adulthood.

Anyway - if the allergies are a big problem, you can post about that on our Health board - we have several members here that have dealt with allergies in their kitties and can help you and Worf with that issue.

Hi Sivyaleah, the name is actually because he growls all the time and he is trying really hard to be the alpha male, he reminds me of the klingons. The ginger cat in the second picture is named Picard

As far as the allergies go, I don't know, the vets say it is a food allergy but I have my own theories, he was on special food and now I'm trying to get him (and the other cats) used to grain free food. I bathe him every 10 days just in case it is environmental. He is better know
. But was wearing  the cone of shame for about two months because of skin irritations caused by constant itching. I will definitely check the Health board.

I didn't know that some cats lose their teeth that old, that would explain somethings. I can't wait to see how big he will be when he reaches his full size. I doubt that there is a MC in him (MC are really really rare here), but he is almost as big as one. I was wondering is there any other large breed that he could be a mix off?

"I am not a Merry Man!"

Yeah, Star Trek fan, too.
Do love the one blue toe.
He definitely isn't a Merry Man

But unlike the original Worf (I guess
) this one loves to cuddle.

the Norwegian Forest Cat is often almost as big a MCO.

I visited once a breeder, who complained her males were nice but smallish.  She hoped to breed her programme into bigger cats.

These smallish males were visibly bigger than any average cat.  While the female, the queen, was fo more normal size, although compared with most females, of course visibly bigger she too.

Of course, MCO and their natural cousins, are much more common in the USA than NFC...

OMG they are so beautifull, but he is short hairded although his fur is thick and has a shorter undercoat. Btw I am not in the USA, so maybe there is a posibility of the NFC

I'm no good at ageing cats but just wanted to say I love your choice of name! My cat is called Data and we are getting a new kitten next week that we are going to call Geordie! :-)

:D Like i mentioned before the ginger cat is named Picard, the only non Enterprise crew is the female, she's named Mala Gremlinka (it means Little Gremlin, she looks like one), was thinking about naming her Troy, but this one just fitted her perfectly. I had a foster kitten named Data, but when he was adopted his owner changed the name, he unfortunately  went missing 3 days ago
, hope we will find him.

Anyway, Picard and Worf are saying HI to Data and Geordie.
