No argument here Momofmany. My husband and I were pretty confused about it honestly. The Marlins were just on their game too. I won't repeat what my response to the repeated hits to right field was. That kid was amazing last night!

Hissy, my thoughts to you and your family. I remember the tooth story. I will keep your sister in my prayers. She sure has been through alot.

Stopped in to say hello all....

Have no idea where to begin
This place reminds me of that energizer bunny... it keeps going, and going, and going! I post now and then but can never keep up! LOL!! Way to go!!!

Will try to stop in more often to post. I've missed alot of you.
And there are tons of new people here too!

Hi Ghys, nice to see you! Yeah, this place is like the Energizer Bunny (or like Rose Red, quoting the movie "It keeps growing and growing and...). How are things going with you? How is your family doing?

Jellybelly, congratulations! It took me a couple readings too to pick up on your wonderful news.

Everyone is doing great! Hubby and I just (last week) came back from visiting Vancouver. It was really nice. Did us alot of good to have a mini-vacation.
How about you? How have you been?

You said it!

MA, your sister will be in my prayers also.

I can't even imagine getting a cat's tooth embedded in a bone - yikes! I'm glad a positive thing came from it in helping to find cancer early.

Well, this was a nice break - back to cleaning again...ugh.

OMG! I am such a bad mommy!!!! (he turns 9 next month! The youngest is 5 and there is no way.....
) I can't for the life of me recall why the store trip was cancelled. Anyhoo.... he more or less forgot about it and hasn't asked me once again. When he does ask to go, he more or less asks me if I want to go(and I say yes right away)or hubby's cousin (who is 29) I have never reminded him of his request to walk there alone. And to be honest, to this day I still have mixed emotions about it. *sigh* Maybe when he's 20 I'll consider it....

Actually, all joking aside, it's going to happen but I just keep hoping he'll wait a while longer before he asks again.

We have begun to let the boys walk up the street a little ways so they can go to their friend's house. I think that counts..doesn't it?

Congrats, Jellybelly! And Hissy, I'm so sorry to hear about your sister. I will add her to my prayers.

I always sit down to read the DT right after I've gotten home from work, so all I really have to say during the week is, 'Well, I went to work today.' Unless I've called in sick, in which case I likely wouldn't be on the forum at all.

I did get a call from the library today that my 'Teach Yourself Java' book is in at the library, so I get to start doing that tonight - yippee! [Braces herself for verbal "GEEK" assault].

I'm also going to take the puppies for a walk soon. I'm listening to a good book on CD, and it finally hit me that I would get less bored on my walks if I brought that along. (duh.)

Hi it's Hope. I thought I'd stop by and say "Hello" to everyone. The weather is beautiful here, and it's supposed to be a hot weekend. I'm just trying to deal with all of the strikes that are going on in the Los Angeles area. The worst one for me, and the one that seems like it's going to last a long time is the grocery store clerks, on strike against all of the major grocery stores. It's hard to find a decent place to buy groceries.

This morning I heard some sad news about a former member of Kiss (and a really wonderful guy), Bruce Kulick, who got shot by a crazy kid on the Sunset Strip who had a fight with his girlfriend and got a gun and started randemly shooting. Luckily Bruce is gonna be OK, but he really came close to something serious. A bullet went in his knee, but another bullet grazed his ear, which could have been fatal, but for Gods good graces. He's a really nice guy, and it's really sad that this happened to him.

Oooops! Sorry about confusing the boys. But yes, I do think that counts.

Hissy - I will send healing thoughts to Nancy!

Jellybelly - Wow! Congrats, that is wonderful news.

Ghys - I miss you posting!

Currently listening to the new Clay Aiken CD - I love it! The title song is fabulous!

Holy cow this DT is hoppin'!

Kimberly - CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Mary Anne, I'll keep your sister in my thoughts. Chemo is such a horrible thing to go through.

Weather: It's nice today, high in the 70s, this morning it was around 40. Little chilly, but it makes for great sleeping weather.

Earl is from the Chicago area, so he was really disappointed for the Cubbies too. I do feel bad for that guy who caught the ball. Everyone around him was reaching for it too, and I bet they were the first ones to throw garbage at him.
I thought it was hysterical what happened on the first foul ball - it was like it was on fire the way everyone jumped away from it!

Coming up for 11 pm here . . . what a HUGE DT - biggest I've ever seen . . .

Had my first dinner out since Dominik's birth with the girls from my ante-natal class. I think we all felt like it was a bit of a watershed - back in the high heels and make up and not pushing a pram for once!!!

Have been fighting with hubbs. He's really ticking me off. It's constantly like, coz I'm at home with Dominik I'm doing nothing and he's working his butt off. He really wants to try looking after a 2 month old baby full time AND talking with the bank/accountants AND taking calls and emails from him constantly about work things AND making financial decisions (we run our own business) - as well as decorating, cooking, cleaning and ironing. It seems sometimes as if we don't actually talk about anything other than work, and I'm getting close to calling time on this marriage. I've tried talking to him but he just doesn't see it.

Having spent a couple of hours in the company of 'normal' people talking about normal stuff, it makes me realise just how boring my home life is becoming - and I'm in danger of becoming sucked into this dullness.

Sorry to sound off, but I don't want to pass negative vibes onto Dommy whilst feeding him during the night, and this is the only place I can have a gripe about things.

Home everyone is having a better day of it than I am.

Yola!

Howdy!!! I am so sorry to hear about your problems with the spouse. Give him 3 days to take care of baby solo and by end of day one he will be running into the street screaming! Men have no idea about all that is involved in caring for babies. I hope you can work this out with him to a satisfactory degree- maybe the two of you can just go off someplace without Dom and just talk?

Mary Anne - I hope it will blow over - I CAN be a bit of a drama queen, who knows, maybe the hormones are still adjusting.

I hope things can be sorted out . . . but there is some history that is starting to weight heavily on my mind and is clouding my feelings and my willingness to keep on talking.

So sorry to read about your sister . . . I do hope that things work out well for her with her therapy. My business partner (other than hubby) is also doing mild chemo for bowel cancer at the mo.

Jellybelly - your name perfectly describes my anatomy at the moment . . . GOOD NEWS - Congratulations!!!!!

Went for my walk with the puppies - the weather here is perfect!! Nice cool autumn day. I didn't get to the library, though, will have to go tomorrow.

Yola, I hope your day starts going better. I don't have a small baby around and still get overwhelmed sometimes by work, housework, shopping, finances, etc, etc, etc. So I certainly feel for you!

(((((YOLA)))))

Hope things start working out better for you!!

I have to say, with a few exceptions here and there (like Kimberly's pregnancy!) this seems to be World-Wide Have A Crappy Week-Week.

Hope, OMG I had no idea Bruce Kulick got shot! My jaw about hit the floor when I read that. I'm glad he's OK.

Hubby's working late, so I'm grilling chicken! Have to try not to burn it this time... Simba will love it, because he always gets a little when we have chicken (most things bother his tummy, but chicken doesn't).

I was reading through this really long DT (
) and saw what others watch on TV Thursday nights. Doesn't anyone watch the Friends/Scrubs/Will & Grace/whatever-crappy-show-comes-next lineup on NBC? Scrubs is one of my favorite shows.
