Hello everyone! Wish you all a splendid Tuesday!

If you could go back in time for a day, to any era/period in history, and meet a historical figure - who would it be and why?

As a huge history nerd and graduate of the field, it is hard to pick just one! But I shall go with Queen Elizabeth I or Martin Luther.

I would like to meet Samuel Clemens. He is a very distant relative of mine ( my mother was a Clemens) and a wonderful author. I would like to talk to him and see how he was as a person, he was also a great cat lover!

Richard III, the last Plantagenet king of England. He's fascinated me ever since I first heard of him as a small child. Was he an ogre, a man of his times, or simply maligned by the Tudors?

Walt Disney. He had such a creative, imaginative mind and I would love to know more about him

I gotta say William Shakespeare. I'm intrigued by his face-to-face character/personality (And an obvious fan of the works). And you know, there is that whole theory that he didn't even write all those plays. It would be nifty to try and figure it out discreetly.

Close second choices, Jane Austin and Queen Hatshepsut.

Saladin. He was a great leader, military strategist and described in history as quite a "noble" man.

It's a toss up for me between William Shakespeare and Claude Monet. Those men were two of the most creative minds the world has ever known. I would love to spend a day learning and enjoying life around them! Shakespeare is my favorite playwrite /poet, and I never get tired of reading his works. Monet is my favorite impressionist, and I have framed copies of his pictures all over our home. There is something so calming and peaceful about both of them to me.

Tricky!

There are so many, but I think right now I'd go with Rumi, the Persian Sufi poet from the thirteenth century.

I think he must have had such a beautiful heart.

Believe it or not I would like to have met Al Capone.  Why he was so brutal just to be top dog.  Of course I may get gunned down by the end of the day but I would really like to know what made him tick.
