2013 Secret Santa received thread!

What a wonderful Secret Santa gift... I am feeling all warm and fuzzy, and so excited! I was really going to try and be a lightsider and I stared at the box for 10-15 minutes but there really was no way, I was WAY too excited!!!!!

You've definitely gone over to the dark side. You had the package opened and pictures posted before I got the notice from the P.O. that it had been delivered. :lol:

The catnip toys are made by the mother of one of my friends. She's a member of the cat club we belong to but doesn't show cats herself. She makes wonderful cat toys, cat beds, and cage curtains, etc. for us.

My brother lives in Dominica so I picked up the woven basket when I visited him there this fall.

Tell your boyfriend he's welcome. I did consider show tunes but I thought this was just different enough that you might not have too much of this type of music.

BTW I went through a couple of sets of the catnip pillows because the first ones I took out got slobbered on before I could wrap them. :drool:

I received our TCS SS package yesterday morning, yes on Sunday morning.

USPS delivers on Sundays? I heard the bell and said to self 'Who would be buzzing on a Sunday morning?' as I laid in bed resting up for football day

. Then it popped into my head 'Could it possibly be? I should run out and check!'. So I did, ran out door to look down to see, and sure enough a person with a package in their hands

! So I ran down, probably looking like I felt, PJ's, night eye and hair

! Sure enough Priority Mail, USPS is now delivering on Sundays. I said cheers to her for working on a Sunday....

I finished wrapping up our SS gift tonight and it will be mailed tomorrow

I vaguely remember hearing something about Sunday deliveries fun the USPS. I wonder if its a holiday only thing? And packages only. I don't remember where i heard it.

Woohoo! My parcel arrived, my parcel arrived! And a very nice parcel it was, too.

My Secret Santa wanted me to open the cone-shaped gift immediately, so of course it was opened immediately.

I love peanut brittle! I was making it over the summer, until I ended up getting a hot sugar burn on my hand and stomach! The one on my stomach took weeks and weeks to heal and I have a nice scar now; and now I'm afraid to make it again!

I got my SS parcel last Sunday. I just haven't had a chance to take pictures of the shipping box or open it up. I will be doing that this Saturday though. And if my SS is reading this, I'm a light-sider, so I won't open the parcels (hopefully they are wrapped) until Christmas morning

Finallllllllly.........I am sorry for the delay of the photos, which are due to a computer with some serious life crises and extremely busy couple of weeks. :badpc:

Inside my box there was this beautiful box. I have been thinking what to use it for and as it is so beautiful, I have changed my mind about it having to be something related to Christmas and am going to find something great to store in it...... It has pictures of cats, decorated trees, presents...... That fits for any time of the year....right? :nod:

Inside the box were 2 tea towels (I love nice tea towels!); hand soap with this delicious lavender smell (when I opened the box the lavender smell hit me and I knew I would love that present! It turned out that the soap had leaked a little bit, but only in the paper surrounding it, but enough for the smell to fill the air when I opened the box. (I really love lavender!), a bottle of maple syrup, that was in one piece so this was not a sticky parcel at all, as my SS had been worried about; a box of assorted chocolates; really cute pink cupcake cups; adorable cat Christmas tree ornaments (there were 2 of them, but one was in 1000 pieces, but I will take extra care of the whole one); a bag of cat treats and last but no least, 3 catnip cat toys. Doppa claimed all of them right away and has been high on them since then, taking one with her to take a nap, licking them and running around with them trying to kill them!

You might have figured it out from the crazy catnip photos that Doppa is the black one, Feykirófa is the old striped one and Tiffany is the fluffy calico.
