Give thanks to your kitties here!

I had to post this thread before i forget... i was sleeping last night and all of a sudden I awoke to something brushing against my leg. I sat up and I saw boy boy positioning himself onto my leg and was getting ready to sleep. He turned and looked at me, gave me a gentle meow before turning back to his sleeping position. For some reason, I just sat there looking at my baby, gently sleeping away and occasionally snoring away. He hasn't been sleeping with me for a while. Not ever since I had broken up with his daddy. Four months down the road and I know he has gotten over it. Throughout this four months, he's been the guy in my life. Everyday, i come home and he's the one who comes to greet me at the door and he's the one who guards the toilet in case the toilet sucks me in. (LOL!) He's the one who keeps me company when I was crying alone in the room about the broken relationship. he just sat right next to me and be there for me. Today, he slept right on my leg and it made me realise that, despite the fact that my ex bf is no longer around and despite the fact that he is hurt that my ex has left him also, he has been strong and stood by my side. I'm proud to say that he's my big guy and I would never give him up for any reason!

Wow. That is a great thing to say about your kitten. I feel that way about mine. Since I've gotten him he is something to come home to, my baby. I wouldn't trade him for the world.

I cringe at the thought of him being home alone these past 2 days. My mom's been checking up on him and he's meowed his concern to where I have been.

I am glad the two of you are feeling better. You are moving on and that is the most important thing.

Kate that is so sweet! Boyboy is your sweet little guy. And no matter what, he will always love you just the same as you love him.

I, too, feel the same way about my kitties. Trent really helped me out yesterday. I had a horrible day (see the Daily Thread), but when I came home from work and sat on the couch, Trent came and snuggled me just as tight as he could for 1/2 hour to 45 minutes. He just made all of the troubles of the day disappear, at least for that time.

Ophelia and I have taken a step forward in our relationship too, I think. We had a love fest over the weekend, which she usually reserves for only Daddy. That night, when we were laying in bed and she came up for her nightly scritches from Daddy, she laid down right in between us so she was touching both of us. She's never done that, and it just made my heart sing.

Sometimes I just look at my cats for a very long time.. just watch them and feel so lucky to have them in my life. I love them more than just about anything. I dont know what I'd do without them greeting me when I come home, playing with each other to make me laugh and smile, coming to give head bonks and get pets. They are such wonderful and amazing creatures

i'm glad to hear that Trent and Ophelia are there when u needed them. I have always wanted to start this thread as a lot of us would only realise how good our cats are to us when they are not around. I dun wish to wait till then. I hope that we could speak up and give praises for the things that our kitties have done for us and share it with everyone!


Boy boy! I love you!

I love my cats so much, and I get so happy when Peedoodle comes up to me and head bumps me - I love it. And I get so happy when Kahu comes and sits on my chest when I am in bed, because he never used to do that and that means he is really starting to trust me. I love to watch them sleep, and I love to bury my face into their fur and inhale (that makes me sound like a fur junkie! )

There are so many things I love about each of my cats.Each one of them is special in so many different ways. I think it is so amazing that when you really know an animal you can understand them like they are a close freind.

Lilly is on my lap as I type. Our special time together is when I am on the computer. She lays on my lap and purrs or sleeps.( or sometimes she walks accross the keyboard while im tryimg to type.)

It is so wonderful to me to be able to have the animals in my life. I have a relatonship even with my fish,Angel,( she follows my finger when i move it across her bowl.)My cats are my special babys and I am a true cat person by heart, however each animal i care for is like a child. Each haveing a personality, likes and dislikes, ext. I am truly blessed to be able to have so many wonderful children.

I do the same thing with Max (put my face in his fur and breathe in). I must be a fur junky too!!LOL

In conclusion of my other post in this thread.

I got home this morning and Em was so happy to see me. I snuggled and kissed him all over. He was racing around my aparment crazy like. Then he wouldn't let me sleep, he would come in and check if I was still home and snuggle my face purring.

Kitties are great. When I fist got Em I just thought he would be my kitten.

Now I love him so much he can't do no wrong.

Some people just don't know what they are missing if they don't get a furbaby

I'm so thankful for all my babies but the two that I'm MOST thankful for are Neo whoe cuddles me at night and is always ready for a snuggle and a kiss and Nimby is always first to jump (really jump) into my arms when I get home from work and give me tons of kisses. no matter what kind of day I hand my little puffy white cloud of love makes me feel better

Thank you for being one of my shoulders to cry on when Dad was in the hospital and during his funeral...heck even now when I cry about Dad.

I love it when you both sleep in the bed with me and your daddy Ken, even though he grumbles about you two hogging all of the space You being my children of the furry kind is wonderful. You have taken the place of having children since Ken and I can't have any children of our own. So here is a big Thank You to both both of you.
