Yesterday when I got home from school, my mom told me that my cat was looking bad. She said she thought that she thinks he fell off the roof (We let him outside in the afternoons). We tried feeding him but he wouldn't eat. Today he won't walk (Just like yesterday) he wont eat or drink, he just lays there. He is breathing but he is having really weak reactions. I have been begging my parents to take him to the vet but they won't because we don't have any money.  Today when I went to examine him, I found a small bloody hole on his side. I am so irresponsible for not noticing it sooner, he was just laying on it until today. Im so scared.

You need to get to get your cat to a vet quickly. He is suffering and could die if you don't. If you can't afford a vet call the Humane Society or the ASPCA  and ask them to help.

I told my parents about this and my mom said that we can't call until tomorrow

Why? It sounds as if your cat is really sick, the sooner he sees a vet the better.

Are you old enough to make the call by yourself? Is their a neighbour, aunt, grand parent you could ask for help?

Yes, I think you should make the call. Even if they can't get your cat to a vet today they will be able to give you advice on how to keep him comfortable until they can.

Do they both have an office in your city? I'd call which ever is closest. Has your cat had any thing to drink? It's important that he doesn't dehydrate. Can you find a syringe (without the needle) and squirt a little water into his mouth?

I'm sorry, I don't mean to be rude but your parents need to understand that this cat is dying and it's just plain cruel to let him be in so much pain!!! I'm so sorry you're going through this. Please explain to them that your cat needs emergency care or it will possibly die.

That's good, I'm glad he drank something. Are your parents going to let you call a vet or the ASPCA tomorrow?

If he has been shot he will have internal injuries that will need to be looked at. he will also need surgery to remove the bullet. The main concern now is that he might die of shock. You need to keep him somewhere dark and quiet where he won't be disturbed.

Is he lying on his side or in the "breadloaf" position? He will need a little bit of water every hour or so to keep him hydrated. If he is lying on his side support his head as he drinks and just give him a drop at a time so he can swallow it

Make a comfortable bed for him, maybe in your room so you can keep an eye on him overnight. Try to move him as little as possible to avoid further injury.

Good luck, I hope he makes it.

I am trying to convince them but they are so stubborn. I am crying and I'm starting to feel like the only one in my house that cares about him.

Poor kitty! Is there anyone else that can help other than your parents? Close friends or grandparents?

I can't understand why they won't call a vet for him. Even if they don't have enough money to pay the vet they could ask for help from the Humane Society or ASPCA. It's just cruel to let him suffer like this. He knows you love him, it must be comforting for him to have you there.

Could you ask a neighbour or another relative to call for you?

I'm just so sorry this is happening. I feel so awful and helpless for both of you.

I can't go to my grandparents or friends because my parents won't let me. I don't know what to do. I'm so sad and scared for him!
