Good morning and TGIF!

Easy question:  What time did you awaken this morning?

We overslept today....not terribly, but enough so that Rick couldn't feed the cats or he would have been late for work. So I didn't get a chance to exercise as I gave the cats their breakfast and did my other morning chores. I was awake around 4:00 or so (my usual get out of bed time), but fell back asleep again. Rick said he was awake around 4:30, but he fell back asleep. I awakened around 5:20 and "Oh crap....Rick, you'd better get out of bed. Now!" And so our morning began.

We have seven feline alarm clocks. And not one of them did their job this morning.

I first got out of bed around 1 a.m. to see where Ritz was cause she wasn't sleeping with me--again (: She was sitting calmly in front of the patio door, seeing only what she could see. Maybe I guilt-ed her, but she came and joined me in bed a few minutes later.
For two hours. Then it was time to get up my usual time, 3 a.m.; Ritz is my alarm clock, she can't be turned off, she has no snooze button except after I respond to her "FEED ME FEED ME" meows.
I am at my best, most efficient in the morning. I get a lot down, though I wish more stores were open at 6 a.m.

This is my weekend, but l woke up at 4am, put the cats out of my room so they could wrestle to their hearts' content, and went back to sleep until a little after 6.

Too early! Aaron took the day off so I could have slept in, but was up by 5.

5:45 am.  I leave the house at 7am to commute to NYC and be at work by 9am.  I could wake up a little bit later but having extra time to ease into the day is helpful.  I need to attend to cat business, get myself ready and sometimes if the weather is bad account for having to warm up the car.  Leaving extra time allows me to watch the news for a while and not have to rush.

BTW I never wake up to the alarm.  That goes off at 6:00 am.  I have a built in one from all the years commuting.  Either that or now it's cats lol.

I woke up my usual 7 am. Usually I'd lounge around and make breakfast before finally getting ready around 8:30, leave the house at 8:55 and get to work at 9.

But today, I got ready quickly, went to take care of Petey, the dog I am watching while the owner's away.. took him for a nice long walk in the drizzling rain, played with him, watched a little TV with him, then left at 8:55 to get to work at 9.

I slept in today, too!  My cat alarms start going off around 5 a.m., and I'm usually up around 5:30.  This morning I heard the Jake-alarm go off, but then fell asleep again--I didn't get up until 6:40!  Yikes.  Now everybody's fed, I've had my coffee, will get in a SHORT treadmill walk, just wake up the old brain cells and get to work.  I am lucky in that I work for a good friend who's flexible about my work hours--we agreed that my start time is "9-ish".
So if I get there any time before 9:30, I'm good.

My alarm goes off at 5:50 but for the past few weeks I've been waking up before my alarm goes off, worried I'm late. I HATE IT. I get up early enough as it is! I don't need my body to make it earlier!!

This morning I got up around 10am.  Autumn was still fast asleep but as soon as she heard me moving around she was out of bed in a flash.  She knows she will have her morning treat

I was hoping to sleep in a little today sense I didn't have to work, but that didn't happen. I woke up at my usual 7:30 time.

4:00 AM, my usual time, I can't sleep at all beyond that and even if I could I've got Casper, my feline alarm clock, who says it's time to get up! I started getting up at early years ago when I had a nursing job that started at 5AM. I'm a definite morning person! I love it in the summer too, I get all my outside watering and weeding done before it gets too darn hot. But I'm really embarrassed to say what time we go to bed though, and I also 'trained' my poor husband ( who USED to be a night owl ) to get up at 5:00 too!

I feel lazy compared to all you early wakers. I got up around 9:30am. My daughter went to bed late last night (9pm instead of 7:30) so she was still asleep at 9:30 when I got her up.

I'm a night person; I didn't get up till a little after 9.  I didn't really look at the clock.  I just knew my kids were up and making noise.  Both were up earlier than usual today.

Usually before 6 a.m. Never need an alarm clock. Tony started banging on the door around 5:30 this morning.

We are both definitely day people. Most nights if we make it until 10 pm that's good. Hardly ever see the 11 pm news. We are both at our best in the morning and slowly fade away. Any housework I have to do has to be done early, or it doesn't get done at all.

It was around 7:00. We have a new alarm clock that wakes you up with light, it gets gradually brighter - I'm really liking it.  If you don't turn it off after the "sun's" up, it starts with the audio and birds chirping that really gets the kitties' attention!

Anything would be better than our old alarm. It was like waking up to a nuclear disaster alarm with a shot of adrenaline.
