Hello! I hope everyone is having a good humpday eve!

What was the name of your very first pet?

Mine was a hamster named Hammy. I had him when I was at 7-9 years old
There were other animals in the family at the time too and grown with them, but he was the first that was actually my own.

I was 4 years old and we took in a stray cat. I used to feed him and sit with him til he trusted us. He was an all white male cat. I named him Snow White lol.

I had lots of pets.. one that my sister and I shared was a little blue Parakeet called Beasley. When he died, we got Beaker, another parakeet.

but the pet that was all MY own when i was about 7 years old was a cute little guinea pig called Whiskers. She lived for 7 years, through a bad ear infection (I thought she had a stroke, I was so upset!).. my parents were upset because they got the guinea pig for $2. at a store that was closing, and the vet costed $200, lol. The things they do to make me happy! I was also allergic to it (or the shavings, I am not sure), but my parents did not have the heart to take her away from me.

My very first pet was a black tabby girl and I called her Fluff (how original, eh? In my defense, I was in first grade, I believe). My sister had an orange tabby girl, named Puff.

Mine was a ferret named Delilah Bunny
I was 10 years old! Gave me a lot of lessons on handling, house proofing, cleaning and so forth.

My first pet (actually my dad's) was a blue and white parakeet named Dukey.  He was one smart bird and just loved my father.  He would sit on his shoulder and nibble a cracker from my dad's mouth.  When he came home from work Dukey would fly to his shoulder, he really loved my dad.  I was just a kid then and that was a very, very long time ago.

Her full name was Christmas Tinsel; but we just called her Tinsel.  She was my very first kitty we adopted when I was 2.  She passed when i was 13.  In her younger years she was known for escaping our apartment and going to visit the neighbors in their apartments.  One time she went to the one right next door and was checking out the lady's cup of tea she'd left on the table!  She was also known for sampling my mother's tea or wine if she left a glass unattended!!

Mine was a dog named Razzle, like the candy.

We didn't have him very long - my brother was utterly terrified of the little runt of the litter.  My sister wasn't much better.

It was for the better - none of us were really ready to have a pet and my parents really didn't even like animals.  It would have been a disaster if we had kept him.

A beagle named Daisy. She died when I was very, very young, so I barely remember her. Shortly after she passed, my dad brought home a new puppy as a surprise and that was Jenny, another sweet beagle. I still think there is no puppy cuter than a beagle puppy. She lived to be 16 and was very much loved.

Flossie the cat. She was 18 and I was 12. When I was a baby she used to sleep under my cot and hiss at people who came near. I was her kitten :D

The first one I can remember the name would be Tom Tinker, a blue tabby. Great mouser, rabbit catcher, and life saver. He woke my mother up the night the chimney to the coal furnace got blocked and smoke filled the house. :rbheart:

Fred... a gorgeous Tabby whom I snatched from some people who were drowning kittens when I was about four years old.  I was mortified that I could only get one.

He was such a great old boy.

Jacques; he was a black, toy Poodle. He actually belonged to my sister, but they got him when he was a puppy, and I was a newborn, so we literally grew up together. He is the first pet that I really remember.
