My two are Willow & Elmo.
Mouse may be a cute RB but he has a cheeky face and a quiet little throat sound when he has his fish snacks in his mouth and runs off to a corner to make sure I don;t try and steel it off him :-)
My girls definitely growled when they had food they wanted to keep to themselves, and one of them did it when she was cross too! That was very scary.  They also did a good line in tearing up kitchen roll and toilet paper, steeling food, and being general pests.

Look forward to seeing and hearing more of Willow and Elmo - lots of photos!

Did anyone else look at the other link under the one EB24 attached?  That was hilarious too.

It's comforting to know I'm not alone with my 'growlers'. Never heard of growling cats before and had to hurry and google it the first time it happened. I've tried to get it on video a few times, but their growls are so low that all you can hear is the rustling of holding the camera. Maybe I need a better camera? Willow actually growled today. I have a rubber band around my credit card holder in my purse, and he must've pulled the holder out of my purse and removed the rubber band (he has this 'thing' with credit cards apparently? lol) I followed him around, but like yours, he growled really lightly because he didn't want me or Elmo to steal it. He also has a 'thing' for toilet paper. He'll jump up on the counter while I'm brushing my teeth, swat everything off the counter that's in his way (including that spare roll), and then sprawl out like it was nothing. If there's an unopened can of cat food on the counter and it's taking me too long to wash his dish and feed him, that gets swatted to the floor too. Not sure why, but I kind of like his spitefulness?

Elmo isn't as bold. He's kind of puny, and well, not so bright? lol I keep telling him he would never survive in the wild because he'll play with his food and then just back away when Willow nudges his big head into his dish. Then he'll just look at me like, "Where did my food go?" Because of this, and because (unlike Willow) he seems to have a harder time getting his food out of the dish with his tongue once he does get started (shorter hairs on his tongue maybe?), I now have to 'spoon feed' him or he'd be there forever.

I'd love to get a Russian Blue one day though. Is yours a purebred? Even though Willow is grey and white, I still call him 'my little Russian' and ask him if he's feeling 'Russian-y' today. lol I think the 'cheekiness' of yours is cute, and I just love the blue. Bet his fur is soft - I can tell from his pic.

Here are pics of my boys in mid-yawn. Willow almost looks like he's smiling or laughing. Elmo looks scared? Evil? Not sure what. Do you have more pics of Mouse?

Hey tailzzz24, you have to get your guys on more threads like this one:               http://www.thecatsite.com/t/264173/show-me-your-eyes/300#post_3447790

Your boys are lovely, and because I used to have tabbies and now have a grey cat they are both right up my street! You'll find endless pictures of Mouse all over the site , people are probably sick of him popping up everywhere they look!  Mouse has his own cat page as well as loads of photos on my profile, and even a recent article on the site about how I adopted him.  It would be great if you managed to get more of your boys on your profile and did cat pages for them too - I love reading all the cat pages to hear each story.  If Willow has a soft / smooth tongue he shares something with Mouse other than grey fur - I posted a thread asking about it - I think it was in cat health because I'd never heard of any other cats having one.

MServant, no unfortunately - Willow's tongue is horribly rough, and he's a face licker too so I suffer through it almost daily - love hurts, right? lol I think his is rough so that he can devour his food in just a few licks maybe? Never know? I've never heard of a cat having a smooth tongue? Is that a Russian Blue thing? I saw one of Mouse's pictures there too - looks almost identical to Willow when he was a (lean) youngster. Hoping he loses a few pounds when I switch him over to raw.

I don't even pretend - hence my name.

RBs usually have very raspy tongues aparently so I'm just lucky:-)

OMG, they are hilarious! How in the world do they hang like that on a wall or climb up the wall like that? I will never understand cats as long as I live. But I guess I don't have to....as long as they're healthy and happy that's all that really matters.

5. 80% of our phone’s pictures are of our cats, but we don't upload them to facebook because everyone already thinks we're nuts

I don't care that everyone thinks I'm nuts...everyone wants to see what adorable thing Lucia has done today, right?
