Good morning everyone!

I've been researching orgs that have FeLV positive cats, but couldn't find any in Southern California.

I want to get a mate for my Miballs (feral cat that my family and I took in who happened to test positive for FeLV). He is given healthy food, care and lots of love and now, enjoys indoors way better than outdoors.
He is the only cat in this house and as much as I want to adopt a FeLV negative cat (because the shelters here don't have FeLV positive cats), I have to try and find a suitable mate for him. Also, my mom just thinks it's time to get another cat (maybe a kitten).

So, if anyone knows of any local orgs that have FeLV positive cats, please let me know! It would be greatly appreciated by myself, my family, and Miballs!

You should contact all the local rescue groups and let them know you want to adopt a FeLV positive but otherwise healthy cat or kitten.  Sooner or later, they will have one and normally they cannot keep it and will have it euthanized for that reason.  There is one group here in the Atlanta area that has a FeLV positive area, so maybe someone near you might.  Also, there is Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah, and they might be able to help you.

That sounds like a great idea!

I'm sure they do get FeLV positive cats, but as you said they get euthanized more frequently than those without disease.

I also checked out the sanctuary in Utah and so many are from what happened down in Las Vegas and my heart goes out to those kitties! How absolutely atrocious some people are.

Anywho, thank you for that information and I hope to find a mate for my Miballs!
