Good Morning All,

I have recently "re-found" this lovely site and would be so grateful if I could get some advice from others regarding my black cat Onyx who seems to be normal in every other way except after having a BM there is a tiny drop of mucus/blood on the floor outside the box. NO blood in stools. This is a 4 year old cat who has had this same symptom before. I am thinking of trying a new diet as she seems to have gas at times and a looser than usual but still formed BM. Only another cat lover would appreciate my seeminly TMI post. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If there is no blood in the stool, it could just be some irritation. Does this happen after every BM? What is her normal diet? If she were my cat, I would switch to an all wet diet. If this does not help, then a vet visit is definitely in order.
