Kaylee hyper after spay - afraid she'll break stitches.

Kaylee just got spayed today, and oh my god is she hyper. I really dont have a room she can not jump on anything in, and I was forced to put a baby shirt on her so she would stop licking her stitches (though she still tries). Any advice? And can you wrap it? Like I have gauze pads and no chew vet wrap, or should it be opened to the air?

LOL!  My Tumbles was like that.  I think it's just how they respond to the anesthesia.  If she's a little kitten you can use the top of an old tube sock to put around her middle.  Cut off the toe& heel part, then wiggle the top over her legs and into position around her middle section.  You can also use a paper plate as a collar in a pinch. 

Haha no, she is not a little kitten. Kitten? Yes. Little? No. She is a very husky (like muscular) 8Ibs. 

Update: she passed out. They gave her that new three-day pain killer and oh my she was high as a bloody kite. 

3 Day painkiller?  What's that?

PBI - I believe the OP is talking about buprenex SR. It's a slow release version that is supposed to last 3 days.

It is. I like it so far - I hate trying to give pain killers post-surgery. It's been about 40 hours since the surgery and she is showing no signs of pain. The only side effect so far is mild diarrhea, which just started a few hours ago.
