New member - Meet Lizzie and Chaplin

Hi there, I'm new here. I just adopted a sixth month old black female kitten this past Friday. Her name is Lizzie. She's very friendly. Definitely a lap cat - if you sit on the floor she'll invariably come over and crawl into your lap and fall asleep. Our other new cat, who belongs to my mother, is named Chaplin (after the film star, he's named this because of his black and white coat.) He's certainly a handful. He also likes to sit in your lap, but he also likes to climb up peoples' legs with his claws. He also will sit on your shoulder like a parrot. I tried to get some pictures of them, but they wouldn't sit still so the photos are a little blurry.

Kitten photos are usually blurry unless you take them when they're sleeping!

I love Chaplin's adorable smudge nose...

Thank you.    I've been trying to take a photo of Lizzie with her eyes open, but she always blinks. 

Hi, welcome to the site.  Your kittens look lovely, and I too like Chaplin's blotchy nose.    I bet Lizzie's a real cutie but we'll have to wait to find out!    Why is it they can be sound asleap and wake up the instant we reach for our cameras? 

So cute! I have tons of blurry kitten pics too! I think it takes about 20-50 blurry ones to get a non blurry one.

I think Lizzie's camera shy. Chaplin is living up to his name as a movie star as he loves getting his photo taken. 

I forgot to introduce some of the other cats in our house. There's Lily, who belongs to my brother.


Then there's Aiden, who belongs to my sister.


I've also managed to get a few more pictures of Lizzie that are a bit better, so you can see her face. 


Unfortunately her eyes are still closed. 

Though in this one you can just barely see them.

Ooh, Lily is a fabulous young cat, and great hind legs for bouncing on!

  I just noticed in the earlier, blurred, picture or her she had Chaplin chaing up her rear - no wonder she was movoing so quick!

Chaplin is so energetic and irrepressible. He'll jump on Lizzie sometimes. She never feels like playing this way though, she always slaps him if he tries. They get along well, though. She's been known to groom him sometimes, if they're sitting near each other.
