My kitty Tigre does this weird thing that is concerning. Sometimes when he jumps or is playing, sometimes even out of nowhere.. he stops everything, his legs go out from under him, sometimes he kinda falls over, his head gets low to the ground, he lays flat or sometimes kind of curls up..and his eyes get big. seems like he gets a bit tense from picking him up after an episode.,, and he always seems to look around like he's seeing something?! But then after it's over he is perfectly fine. I've had Tigre for a little less than two years, he was a kitten when I found him. He's always seemed a little "special" as in a little not the brightest cat. He has a buddy named mufasa and they play like normal cats. I don't know what Tigre is going through, seems like it happens a lot and then kind of stops. But it's been happening more latlely. Any advice or In site would be greatly appreciated.

Can you try to get a video of it happening? I'm not sure what's going on, but I would recommend a vet visit and having a video of it would be really helpful for the vet.

Canyou tell, when this happens, does his breathing change?  Does it slow down, get faster, anything noticeable?  I really don't have any idea what it is, but everything you notice could be important to tell the Vet.  For instance, how long these "episodes" last, whether you can get him to snap out of it by calling his name, or clapping your hands, or anything, that sort of thing.  Or even if you can draw his stare away from whatever he seems to be looking at.

It's really hard to say from your description, so a video would be helpful (as long as it's not too disturbing!).

When my cats are playing and are really excited, they'll stop and get real low to the ground before taking off again. Sometimes their eyes get big from excitement.

But if he's falling over without control, pupils are dilated, and he seems kind of out of it or seems like he's hallucinating, it could be a form of a seizure. I am not a vet, but would suggest you consult with your vet on this one.
