Is there any way to take away the character limit of the PM's? Sometimes I need to tell someone something and it tells me that my PM is too long and that I need to shorten it.

I agree with you Kellye, it always tells me that my message is too long and to remove 1000 characters.
I've been using PM's because I'm still meeting people and I'll give out my email addy to them which makes it easier than having to remover 1000 characters! I guess it's like having a penpal but I wouldn't know as I've never had one before. But I'd really like to get to know people on the site a lot better and removing the character limit on the PM's would be a great idea!
Not everyone is ready to give out their e-mail addies when they first meet on the site!
I definatly agree. It can get very frustrating. I dont see the issue with needing to have a character limit on pm's.. many other boards have no limits .. just like in replies on the forums
As per your request - there is no longer a limit on the length of private messages. Don't know why I never thought of this myself as I hate having to keep them down to the silly limit as well as you do
It's just the default set in VB and never occured to me to changed it
