My cat's pregnant, as we took her in as a stray. For awhile we didn't notice anything but she was getting bigger. I can see and feel her kittens moving, her nipples are pink but not that pink, and her nipples are kind of dry (any advice on that?) I just want to be completely ready for my baby to have her babies. She has been sleeping and eating a lot. I check on her loads to make sure she's okay,  today she's been licking herself alot, and she sleeps alot too.

Thanks for all of your future help xx Cheers

How long have you been seeing and feeling the kittens move? This usually occurs about a fortnight before she delivers. Looking at the photos I would say she hasn't got much longer to go. Have you got nesting boxes set up for her? You may see a change in her behaviour just before she gives birth she may become either very reclusive and want nothing to do with you or she may be overly affectionate and not wanting you to leave her. Good luck.

I've felt the kittens moving for about a week now, and yeah i have a box with old towls and blankets, I brought her too it and she's been sleeping in it for hours. She's been purring a lot more. Other sites that I have looked through have said that you only start to feel them on the last week of pregnancy?

I would guess from looking she may have about another week or two.    but there's only so much one can tell.   Some cats get bigger than others in pregnancy,  and as you have already noticed,   there are different ideas about when you can feel the kittens move!   I think in some cats one can feel them before the last 2 weeks and in some maybe only the last week,  and in some they are so tightly crammed in there ( especially a small cat with a big litter) that one really hardly feels them move at all.

Here are some good links to read to prepare.

When did you get her, and has she been out since then?  If she hasn't been out then just before (a day or two)  you got her is the latest she would have got pregnant.  Normal pregnancy is 65-66 days so you can work that out.

Unfortunately it's best to assume all stray female cats are unneutered, and probably pregnant.  The best move unless it's clear she is pregnant (pink nipples for example) is to take them for an immediate spay.  Some of us would spay later as well - there are far too many kittens in this world already, and as a result older cats can find it really hard to get a home and depending on the rescue / shelter be euthanized as a result.  I'd much rather spay/abort foetuses than euthanize an adult cat.

We found her as a stray and she got pregnant and we continued to let her out, it was very irresponsible i know. We are planning on getting her spayed as soon as she has the kittens. I am also keeping one. I have already found amazing homes by people i know really well.

When I first felt (and soon after saw) movement, it was 2 weeks and a few days later. She reminds me of my kitty, hopefully she doesn't have 6 like mine did!
