I just wanted to report good progress made for my Siamese.

He is very long and has a long narrow esophagus as revealed in sonograms. He was puking his dry food whenever he was allowed to eat more than a couple of spoonfuls.

So, I added an automatic feeder that gives him about a tablespoon of mixed kibbels (Evo and Blue Buffalo) 10 times a day. Trouble was, he was losing weight.

So, I supplement with a can of Blue Buffalo which is about 40 calories per ounce.

I am happy to report that he is now up to 9 lb 5 oz after being down around 7 pounds.

He still looks thin but the vet says he is thriving.

That's great that he is doing better. Wet food is much better for cats (especially male cats - www.catinfo.org for reasons why), so the more wet food you can feed, the better.

Yes, but I am not home enough to get that many feedings in. And, he likes the Evo Blue Buffalo combination from the feeder. I have an Internet security camera on the feeder so I can check during the day to be sure he is getting his hourly kibbels. He shows up in front of the feeder about 5 minutes before it releases them and patiently waits.  Fun to watch instead of doing my work.

And, I give him a spoonful of wet whenever I can.

I just got a case of Evo Cat and Kitten which is also very high in nutrition and calories. So, we will see how he likes that.

Jack is now tipping the scales at 9lb 10.5 oz.

I know that doesn't sound like much for a cat that is about 36" long, stretched out, but he was down to 7lb after throwing up his kibbles all the time. It is now clear that he is allergic to nothing, but suffers from a small diameter, very long esophagus and does not tolerate more than a tablespoon of food at a time. He is fed continually throughout the day, wet and dry Blue Buffalo and Evo Cat and Kitten and has gained 35% of body weight since we restricted his quantities.
