I am the proud owner of a Siamese cat who goes by the name of Toki, just like her, the two babies she has brought into this world are loving as in they will lay with you for hours, talk to you when they need something or want attention and just like all siamese cats are easy to train but there is merely one problem, we do not have the financial stability to either take care of these babies or have my cat made barren. We really do not want to drop them off at the pound or at a shelter as they are the sweetest babies we had but we do have a problem finding them a home in the north Texas area. It's getting colder and harder to take care of them, so I ask anyone who may be interested or have some tips on finding them a good home, please respond, our options get narrower by the day.

As you've found, it is extremely difficult to find homes for kittens, even if they are wonderful. There are just too many cats in the world and not enough homes :(.

If you do not have your cat spayed, she will continue to present you with kittens twice a year, and you'll have just as many difficulties finding them homes. Plus, if you actually add up all the expenses, you'll find that raising kittens is more expensive than a spay. There are ways to manage to have a cat spayed even on a low income.

Options: check with www.spayusa.org, even if nothing is listed for your area, call them. They usually find a way to make it happen. If that doesn't work, call your local vet (call all the vets if there is more than one) and get a firm price on having her spayed. Make sure they include everything that's required---some vets require vaccinations, testing, etc. first so be sure they give you the full price. Once you know the price, find a way to borrow the money or have someone else pay for it. Even in small towns there's usually someone who will pick up the bill just because they love cats. Ask the vet if they know of anyone. Start saving money for the procedure---even putting aside $5 a week will add up quickly. There is always a way if you really want to do something.
