This is P.J:

She was one of the 88 cats we rescued late September from one of the most extreme hoarding situations the shelter have seen. Most of the cats were malnourished and had infections everywhere. P.J had it pretty bad. The infections were too much for her, so the clinic had to remove both her eyes to prevent it spreading to her brain.

She was one of my favorites. She spent a long time in recovery - a special area in the building away from the noise and traffic of the public. I visited her every time I could. I cleaned her cage, played with her and fed her. She went into the adoption area much later than most of her 87 friends. Despite her blindness, she was playful and cheery.

P.J is one of those animals that touches our heart in a special way. She was adopted by a nice lady with a big heart, and P.J has a kitty brother awaiting her at home. I had tears in my eyes when we said goodbye to P.J; another staff member just didn't care and cried her heart out. But it was for the best. P.J now has a forever home and a second chance at life.

I sure am going to miss the little cat.

What a beautiful, silky looking gray baby PJ is.  I am so glad she has found a furever home although it means yo guys have to say your goodbyes. Here's to her having a safe, warm and cuddly life full of lots more love. Fingers crossed her new kitty brother is welcoming and they can snuggle up together real soon.

What a great ending for little PJ! I'm so glad she got out of a bad situation and into a loving one from your group and her new home.

Thank you for this post.  I am currently fostering a kitten (about 4 months old) who had to have 1 eye removed and surgery on the other (if he will retain some sight in that eye is still unknown), but who is the sweetest thing.

You gave me a lot of hope for little Arrow.  I will get a picture and post it here.
