Super cute age, I'm so looking forward to seeing him grow and fill out in to a bouncing 4 month kitty full of energy, and building up his muscles so he can give you even bigger hugs when he lunges at your face to wake you up in the mornings.

From experience I can safely say that by the time cats reach 9 1/2 lbs, if they still lunge at you front legs appart and land belly first straight in your face to give you a hug it is still cute, a little scary but cute!  Enjoy him, it sounds like you guys are a purrfect for each other.

Well Tim is eating a whole can of Kitten Feast a day!  I remember a time he wasn't much bigger than his bowl.  Going to go get him a cat tunnel today as I think he might enjoy one.

Wow, I swear he even looks bigger than the picture you posted 4 days ago, what is it you're feeding him?!  His fur looks lovely and shiny here too.

Well its been a while since I posted and happy to say Tim is now a big healthy cat he was at the vets for a weigh in and is now over 7 lbs.  He stayed with his "aunt" while I was in Vegas and was a really good boy, he got along very well with her cat.  Everyone who saw him couldn't get over how cute he was and what a little acrobat he is.  So he has come a long way from the sick little kitten I got out of the barn, I know we will have lots of happy years together!

That is awesome.  So glad you posted an update.  7 lbs. already!  Do you have an updated photo of him?

Thanks for the update!  I am so glad he has adjusted so well.  You did a good thing saving him and now you have a friend for life.

Here he is on the back of my chair, he often jumps up to say hello if I am reading or watching TV. Guess he just wants to know what "dads" up to.

Hello Wily1 and Tim. I just realised this thread started a while ago. You have been so kind to Tim. He was the cutest tiny kitten now he's so handsome. Keep up the good work :)

He's so lovely.

I had a similar experience with two tiny guys I adopted in the Dominican. In both cases, they were less than four weeks, taken from their mothers and put into shops to be mousers. I shamed the owners into letting me take them; one of these babies only had three legs (another story altogether). Although we, ultimately, kept these two ... from then on, when I chanced upon the same situation in other stores I would ask if I could take them until they were hearty enough to get back to work (and we're talking about young, young kittens who would have never survived, barely fed, no water and on and on). I would rehabilitate, place in loving situations, and return to the store later with the sad news that the kitten had passed. Whatever it takes, I guess, when you're one of only a handful of locals who won't just walk by an abused, frightened, precious animal and keep on going. You just  When I see your little guy (who reminds me of one of the two that I kept), and that he was banished to a barn it brings back a lot of headshaking memories.

That was a wonderful thing you did. And I hope that people learn something from this bitter sweet story. Tell it often:)
