I used Diatomaceous Earth (Food Grade) to fight with flea. I know I suppose to sprinkle it on my carpet, but some area, there were a little more than sprinkle. Anyway, I was able to vacuum those successfully but now, I am bit worried if my cat is going to be ok with it?
When I was vacuuming my room, I put her in the other room, and half-closed the door (she did not come out during that time).

But I am sure some of those DE stuff might be exposed to her. I mean I inhaled some of it (which I couldn't help it), and I felt like I am having a little breathing problem, and also those dust causes me having really dry skin. But how about my cat? Has anyone used DE Food grade before? Does it give it some problem to cat? Or is it going to be okay?

Thanks

She may feel a little stuffy, like you did, if she inhaled it. But she can eat it without any issues - in fact, you can put it in her food, as long as it is food grade, to kill tape worms and other nasty worms.

As you've seen, you need to be careful with it as it is such a fine powder it is easy to inhale. Also, don't use it often on rugs, as it can damage the vacuum too.

She should be fine. If she gets wheezy, call the vet and ask if you need to do anything.
