I took in a stray , and she's pregnant . I do not know how many months and I'm in a new country so I don't know where to find a vet . I have looked and there seems to be no cat food so I just give her mince and liver and put in a lot of oil coz I read on some site that she needs a lot of cholesterol and starch

Again, too much oil may give her diarrhea.  Cat are only pregnant for 63 days. Can you feel the kitten move? Minced meat would be a good thing for her.

It is oK to begin with, but lets improve.

Mince meat, not from pork,  but cow, lamb, goat, hens,  is good.

Or you can use bigger chunks of meat, and cut them into small pieces, easier for her to chew.

Also, minced meat may get sour already in just one day, even if you keep it cold.

Heart from animals, or hens is good, raw or boiled.

They say raw chicken wings are good, and also a calcium source.

Raw bones are easy to crush.   Boiled chicken bones becomes hard and sharp! so beware of boiled chicken wings!

Some liver is very good, but not too much.   I have heard horror stories of people letting their cat live exclusively on liver.  It didnt went well for that poor cat.   but normal doses are fine and nourishing yes.

Some oil, preferably cold pressed olive oil, is good, but dont overdo.

Eggs are good.   Boiled eggs gives lotsa of good cholesterol, proteins, good fat.

Crushed into powder egg shells are good as a calcium source.    The diet you had mentioned so far has too little calcium.

If salomonella is no problem in this country, raw egg yolk is easy to absorb, and you can blend it in anything.

Raw egg white not so good.

If salomonella IS a problem, use well boiled eggs, and you can use the whole egg if you wish.

Goat milk is always excellent, a good all round nourishment.   If there are problems with the kittens, you can use goat milk as  mother milk replacement if need be, as extra or so.

YOU can also use the goat milk they dont need.  :)

Many cats dont manage cow milk, so we usually dont recommend cow milk unless you are completely sure your cat manages well cow milk..

But cow milk products are OK.  Unsweetened plain youghurt is very good. Use a full fat version. "turkish youghurt" for example.

Cheese is OK.

Butter is ok, you can melt it in other food to add animal fats and proteins.

Some tuna is OK.  fish... Not too much if raw.   Cats usually do like fish.

Cats have a limited use of vegetabilies and almost no use of cereals.  Olive oil is one of the exceptions - it may be useful.  Good source of E-vitamine if nothing else.   :)

You can also use some well cooked rice, and blend it with this minced meat, for example.

If you can get bought cat food, try to use wet canned food. It is almost alwyas better than dry cat food.

Continue with reports and questions!

Good luck!

If you begin to feel the kittens move, it will be about two weeks left for delivery.  Give or take, but so you have something to make a rough counting on.

Good luck!

Hello I've known her almost two months. She still hasn't had her kittens , I feel them but they don't move though. I am a little worried but  not too  much because I know if something had happened she'd be running a fever .....

She refused to eat the eggs and meowed at me very angrilly when I gave them to her .. had to mix them with Tuna which seems to be her favourite food.

Wow, she is a prettie, a classic tabby, and apparently very fond in you, too!   :)

Mixing the eggs with tuna is very OK.   Try to give her some calcium too. Depending on what she eats... She needs calcium, both for her kittens and the milk.   And also  there must be a balance between meat and calcium.

Youghurt as said earlier, cheese... Goat milk.  Try with these too.

If nothing else, so crush thoruoughly the boiled egg shells, and mix the powder in with this tuna...

Some olive oil a few drops, (or some other oil containing  much E-vitamines) is also  good to add.

As you felt the kittens more than two weeks now, they have surely gone down inte the departure postions, down in the belly.  Delivery is nearing!

They dont move as much there, and are also more difficult to feel, if you arent used and know exactly  where to look.

So yes, I too hope everything is OK!

After all, most cats in the world dont have such a good and loving caretaker as you!

Good luck!

Thank you , I try ! I do .. truth is I have always been a dog person ... but that was clearly because we never really had cats! She loves Tuna and sardines so I switch them up a lot. Her mate comes to my door to complain a lot when she's with me. I always open the door to let him in or let her out and nothing happens. I have tried bribing him with food and he just runs away , I think he is properly feral! But he is so beautiful , I know they have made beautiful babies!
She took to me very fast and she loves to cuddle with me a lot ....
Where I am I don't trust the milk products. Can she process yoghurt if she cant process the milk??

yes, yoghurt is easier to process than milk.  make sure it is unsweetened, plain youghurt. no chemical additioves.

if you can get full fat youghurt, do so.  Turkish youghurt is excellent, for example.

And youghurt doesnt get bad as easy as milk, either.

Goat milk too is easier to process than cow milk.

Cats nutrition is not so very different from dog nutrition.  Dogs are a  more all eaters compared with cats, Cats are less all eaters, and needs more urgently animal products as food.

My feral cat(who also had kittens) loves tuna and sardines as well. It took her a while to get used to other food! I never felt her kittens moving but she had them with no problem. Set up a good nesting area for momma cat somewhere nice in your home. My feral finally eats other foods now. Its so great that you took them in! =D

I think her kittens are dead . Every Saturday I wipe her bottom for her coz she can't reach back there now with her belly and I only really have time on Saturday and today the cotton wool has pus on it  ! I don't know .. I don't want to panic but I am worried. If something has happened wouldn't she be running a fever? will her body find a way to expell the dead kittens? I am leaving this country on Monday and despite the fact that I work at an institute that makes veterinary vaccines i am yet to find a single vet in this country!!!! Someone help me.

Where are you? What country and what area? We might be able to help find a vet if you're unable, it sounds like she really needs to see one!

I asked the google which said that it could be a few things, ranging in severity.

One, is that she has diarrhea which can happen to momma cats fixing to go into labor

Two, is that it's the mucus plug and means she's about to go into labor

Three, is that she could have a lower uterine infection which requires antibiotics

Four, is that it could be a more severe infection that needs antibiotics

I hope her kittens are okay and her as well. I'm going to cry and pray for them tonight.
