About 3 or 4 days ago, my cat has had a bloody mucous coming from her vagina. She is due anyday now for her kittens but hasnt had them yet. I keep feeling contractions, but they were very far apart like 4 hours or so, then none and jow she is getting very strong contractions to the point she is making a grunting sound and they are coming every 10-12 minutes, yet no kittens. My boyfriend is telling me he is reading all this stuff about how she could be dying and hes really starting to freak me out.

We had her scheduled to be spayed, but then my 4 year old let her out of the house on accident and I was told if she was pregnant that spaying her would obviously kill the unborn babies.

I dont know what to do, I do not feel as if anything is wrong because her bloody show seems very diluted when I try and wipe her. Its not red at all infact its a very light pink. Please tell me this is normal and she is not dying. My boyfriend is really stressing me out.

Oh, I can not afford a vet. I called up the ones around my area and ALL of them need me to scedule a "first time inspection and shots" which cost $75 alone and THEN they will give me a consultation.... Seriously?! My cat could possibly be dying and you need to do an initial inspection with shots first?! The lady on the phone just told me sorry its our policy on any new clients. :'(

as long as the red discharge is diluted, it isnt that serious. sooner normal in fact.

Prolonged fruitless labor is the bigger threat here...

These tips coming now are for low cost spaying clinics, but I hope the same clinics may also give regular vet service cheaper than the average vet.

cheap  spaying:
If you are in the U.S. ,  the ASPCA has an online database.  http://www.aspca.org/pet-care/spayneuter

Or here is a hotline number that will find you a low cost clinic in your area  1-800-248-7729

Some other links about delivering:

 One from this site:  http://www.thecatsite.com/a/pregnancy-and-delivery-in-cats

http://www.icatcare.org/advice/my-cat-having-kittens    ( This is a link to a group of articles on cat pregnancy, birth and kittens.   Read the ones on normal cat birth and on " when to wait and when to worry"  )

Good luck!     *vibes!*
