THIRD EYELID

It seems as my cat got into a fight with some other animal. I tried looking at his eye but he keeps it closed. All I saw was white and it looked like he had no eye ball. I researched online and it talked about third eyelid. I made an appointment for him to see a vet tomorrow, but I don't know what I can do in a mean time, or will his eye get worse over night, and possibly lose his eye?

I just saw this.  I hope by now you've seen the vet.  The third eye is a membrane that comes down over the eye when the cat is injured or really stressed or ill.  Your cat may need antibiotics - hopefully nothing more.  Let us know what the vet said!
