Wonderful post, Pam. I'm a day late to the thread, but Genever and I have been hanging out since I got home from work a few hours ago.. And last night we were on the sofa too, well actually there was a point where I picked her up, brought her with me back to the sofa, and then she immediately walked across the table to her daddy in the recliner and promptly settled in his lap, making those blinky eyes that say "I know I have it good!!"

I do this nearly every day... cradling each one, in their turn, in my arms near my heart and looking into their eyes to tell them.

Artemis does the Ragdoll thing, and flops in my arms, totally trusting me... Jessie, well, uhm... a rescue who has much too much to do than to hang out in my arms, still will tolerate a minute or two of being held... she would rather come up to me on her own terms and schedule to snuggle in my lap (and ask for belly rubs - which is so endearing because I know it indicates total trust).

I'm a changed man because of these guys.

I am doing this all the time!   I do love them so  and I tell them.   and they tell me back.

and they are very demanding of those hugs and conversations!  but in different ways.   for example Sam says  "Well of COURSE you love me.   How could you NOT? "   Chatri says " You DO love me, don't you????  do you still love me today as much as yesterday? PLEASE I need to hear it again!"

Thank you. Thank you for taking the time to tell them just how wonderful and how truly special they are. And I know you do this every day. That's how wonderful and how special you all are!

Hugged and cuddled Sam.  He looked at me as to say "Awww- I wuv you too"

Cuddled Holly.  She looked at me like a teenager.  "yeah, yeah ok.  Now leave me alone.  You know I am a fierce hunter like a panther and I don't want to be "manhandled"
Oh yeah, real fierce hunter.  If a strange person comes into the house she becomes a lump under the covers........

Last night it started snowing and the cats were on the windowsill. I hugged them both and told them I'm glad they're safe and warm inside and well loved. :heart2:
