If you have a cat, you need to have a cat carrier. And we want to get your honest opinion about it!

Three lucky reviewers will each get $15 for their effort!

The Rules:
  1. Write a review for a commercial cat carrier that you use or have tried in the past.
  2. Review must be posted in the Cat Carriers Reviews SectionClick here for an illustrated walk-through.
  3. Only review cat carriers that you have actually tried
  4. You have one week to add as many reviews as you like (please see guidelines for reviews below) - contest ends at midnight, November 17th.
  5. All valid reviews (that meet the guidelines detailed below) will enter a draw and THREE lucky winner will each receive a $15 Amazon voucher.
  6. Existing reviews  in the Cat Carriers section  also count towards the draw.
  7. Contest is void where prohibited.
The final draw is for reviews. The more reviews you add - the greater are your chances of winning!

Review Guidelines:

  1. Only review products you have actually tried.
  2. Create a well-worded title that reflects your overall experience.
  3. Write a detailed and specific  review. Use the Pros and Cons  fields to give a condensed version of your review.
  4. Be specific and share not only whether or not you liked the product, but why. No rules about length, but we do reserve the right to disqualify reviews if we feel a user is flooding the system with low-quality reviews.
  5. Give your honest opinion on the product - positive or negative, either is welcome.
If you don't see your favorite brand of cat carrier listed, please contact me (Anne) with a request to add that product. You can either send me a PM or simply post your request in this thread.

We look forward to your reviews!!

Bump! Feel free to post to this thread and link to your review too. It's definitely not a requirement, but would help me bump this thread

I have 2 carriers. One like this pink plastic that is shown here but is all tan. My other one is those cloth ones with a little bed in it.

I've got an Atlas Deluxe Open 20 Transport that I could do a review for - or do you only cover products that are available in the US?

The carrier we have is fantastic.  Even if I don't win a prize, it was nice to be able to recommend such a good product to others.

I aim at covering everything, eventually! Is this the carrier? -

I can definitely add it, even if it's not from Amazon.

Colors don't really matter. As long as it's the same make and model, please do review it! If you can link me to the other carrier, any web page that has the item, I'll gladly add it too. I'm afraid a description isn't enough though.

Bumping for more reviews! If you don't review, I'd really appreciate some input about why you don't.

Is your product missing?

Are you not sure how to find it?

Not using a carrier?

We have so few reviews in the category, I think there's a chance of one in two, or maybe in three, right now of winning $15. One of the easiest web contests ever...

I've posted my review - the only thing is the price box wouldn't accept the price that I actually paid which was in Euro - it has put a $ sign in front of it so I had to put the actual price in the review.  I'm not sure of the exchange rate at the moment so don't know how accurate the $ price is.

I've got 3 of one type of carrier I couldn't find: Stylette Pet Shuttle - large. The things are so old they probably aren't made anymore. Only Google results I could find were here: http://www.zootoo.com/pet-product/dog-carriers/pet-shuttle-by-stylette-lava. Please let me know if you find them & I'll be happy to review.
Just added it here for you -

Looking forward to reading your review!
Woohoo! So many reviews! I deleted the first one for you, and thank you for the others!

Great review! Adding it in the body of the reviews is great - thank you!

I bought this one at PetSmart and it served its purpose--until I noticed the plastic had cracked around one of the screws. Ritz isn't *that* heavy, so I had to start carrying it from the bottom instead of the handle.
This style was given to me. I like that it is soft sided, but I mentioned this style to my vet and he remarked that he hates this kind because (for some reason) it is harder to get the cat out of the carrier. Given that it is soft, I think perhaps claws could get more easily caught. I still have the cat carrier, mainly in case I come across a cat that needs rescuing.
Soon after the vet's review, I bought this one also at PetSmart mainly because it has two ways to get a cat into the carrier: from the top or through the side. I prefer this one because it is much easier to load Ritz downwards instead of sideways. Because the gate is metal, and because Ritz is Ritz, she has tried to claw her way out of the carrier, with bloody claws as proof. (Now I put her in first, then lots of towels so she claw the towel, not the carrier.)

Which ones would you like me to add, Cindy? All three?

Too difficult to do this from Oz.  My carrier looks similar to others but the brand only seems to exist here..   http://store.cityfarmers.com.au/cat/travel-accessories/kramar-iata-pet-carrier-small.html
