I am fostering a young cat who was found stuffed in a tiny carrier with another young cat. We are assuming the unneutered male that was with her is the father. She does not look like she is even a year old :(. I hope that everything goes smoothly. She is very affectionate and if I'm right, will probably want to give birth in my lap lol. She is not huge but her tummy is tight. There is not alot of hairloss around her nipples as it's her first litter and I haven't seen her licking them. I noticed her plug was coming loose tonight. It was kind of green and gooey. I'm sure I've had others that had green in the "plug" but I was a bit concerned. There is no foul odour and she seems happy and healthy.

I'm assuming she will go into labour in the next few days. I'll post a pic soon..she's very pretty.

She's looking very slim for a pregnant cat, maybe only one or two kittens?

I hope it all goes smoothly, looking forward to seeing pictures of the new arrivals.

Thanks Mamabirdy and yes, she is very small. There enough movement for at least two but these first time mama's can be deceiving. I could get a bit of colostrum last night from her nipples so it should be soon. I hope it's during the day and not all night like most of them :/ hehe

Don't be deceived by her size, my Ginny was a slim elegant cat when we 1st had her approx age 8 months, and then 6 weeks later, just before she had the babies she looked like what I would call a normal size cat that had swallowed a ball. I couldn't believe she had 6 babies.

Well, she's still holding out on me. I think it will be in the next few days. She has some colostrum and the babies are so active and strong. I think they are getting crowded in there! Here are a couple pics from tonight...
