SO are stray that i have been taking care of just up and disappeared last night. and when we went out to feed her this morning she was no were to be seen which is unusual cause she is always there for her feeding and to be played with or inside the shelter i got her. anyways we havint seen her for 1 full day now and i'm quite worried mostly that she has died. but less that she found a home that can bring her inside (but i wouldn't be lieing if i were a little upset for that one also since she is part of are family pretty much. how long till i should really worry about her.its cold outside and like cat's my daily routine has been interrupted lol and it effects me (probably think that silly) anyways any advice or recommendations would be welcome she is a great cat i miss her.

So sorry to hear she is missing. I would just keep putting her food out and hope she is just off somewhere temporarily. Perhaps some one else is also feeding her. This is a risk we take when we feed strays, they sometimes disappear and we never know what happens to them.

Is there a reason you can not take her inside? (if she returns)

I'm sorry to hear that your cat has gone missing. Has she been spayed? Female cats sometimes disappear for a few days when they are on heat. It's the wrong time of year to go looking for love really, but if you live somewhere very warm that might be where she is.

Do you have any photo's of her? You could try printing up a few flyers and putting them around your neighbourhood. Maybe someone else is feeding her too.

I take care of a colony of cats and some of them wander off for a day or two, but stray cats are usually very street wise and come home eventually.

Hope she shows up soon.

I honestly am not sure if she is spayed i would love to do it but i'm disabled so getting to vets and stuff is hard its cold here right now but the temp has been back and forth the last couple days.she has a slit in her right ear but it isn't tipped.i really need to get her checked don't think i don't want to but my condition makes travel hard. would let her live in side but my mother has allergies and thats a big issue. i have a couple pictures but it hard for me to get good shots lol she moves alot how can i put pictures up here so i can show her ;p

I'm so sorry to hear that she hasn't come home yet, but don't give up yet. It's only been a few days, right? She could still be close by. The picture in your avatar looks perfect for some Missing Cat posters. I recommend asking around to see if anyone knows where she is, asking people to check their yards and garages, that kind of thing.

Also, have a look at this.

There are lots of tips on here to help you find out where she has gone

I hope she comes home soon.

She may not be far away. Is there shrubbery around your home? She could be holed up underneath some bushes.

Several years ago one of my cats, Jeffery, escaped from the house. He immediately freaked out and wouldn't let us approach him. Didn't see him for days and assumed he ran and got lost or hit. One day I was working out in the yard and saw him emerge from some shrubs on the South side of my house. Always a super timid, nervous cat anyway, he was lurking around like a feral. Turns out he never left the yard.

He finally let us bring him in when it got colder.

I am so sorry you are going through this. It is heartbreaking when they disappear. She may come back, so don't give up hope. And keep putting the food out. Perhaps something scared her off. Cats can be amazingly patient, waiting until they feel it's safe again. This is pretty unusual, but I did have one to show back up after 30 days. Lots and lots of prayers were said for that girl!

well the kitty isn't a house cat she was just a stray we were taking care of it has been 10 months of feeding her and playing with her.but she had become part of our family now we think she may have ran off to have baby's. which is the case if i see her again she is getting fixed. but  i wonder why she would have run off to do that. also its quite a possibilty that someone around here took her in which isn't really a bad thing since we can't have a cat inside  and it's so cold outside but its the not knowing which is really killing me.she has a peace of our family's heart. I'll keep the shelter i bought for here up all winter so she has something to come back to when she decides 2. i just can't help that i failed her and maybe i did something wrong.

Oh, was she pregnant?

It's usually quite easy to tell, cats get a big belly on them when they're about to have kittens.

It's unusual for feral cats that live in cold climates to have kittens at this time of year, but if you think that's where she is keep putting food out for her and she'll probably come back to eat soon. And don't blame yourself, you did everything you could to help her. If she's been coming to eat and play with you for the past ten months she obviously sees you as a friend.

I hope she comes home soon.

We don't know if she was pregnant im just speculating BUT could she be in heat going out to look for a male cat.is funny how a cat gets you in a routine then when its disturbed for her and does the same to us.
