Hi guys!

I'm new here. :)

I have 2 concerns, first is:

I have a male cat (Siamese+himalyan) who is turning 3 on January. For that span of time, he is the only cat I have and he never have gone outdoors, just my room and the rest of the house. He pee and poo regularly. However, last week, I brought home a new kitten. Female himalayan who is 2months old. The first night was okay. They did not quarrel or exchange hissing sounds. But on the second day, my male cat wants to do "it" on my 2month old kitty. He mounts on her back and all. What should I do?

Secondly, after bringing home the kitty, I happen to notice irregularities in my male cat's urination. He sometimes pee a little without any sign of difficulties, sometimes he urinate so much. I touched his abdomen if there are any hard lump luckily, there is none. His poo is still regular. I am worrying if he has a blockage or is it only because of his wants to mate with the kitten.

Please help me.. :((

Thank you so much!!

Is your male neutered?  I doubt that a 2 month old is in heat anyway.  It could be a dominance thing.  My male does this to my female.  They are both 10 and were neutered/spayed at 6 months.  They look like they are mating though down to the male biting her on the back of the neck.

As far as the urinary issues with the male you may want to consider a vet visit.  If he is still urinating then he isn't blocked.  Usually to if there is a problem with crystals there will be blood in the urine.  It could be stress.  Cats can get cystitis from stress.

Hi Denice!

No he's not yet neutered. I always caught him mounting on her back, biting the back of her neck.

Yes, I really planned to bring him to a vet. I just want to know if other cat owners have noticed the same with their cats. He acts normal, he eats his food, drinks water, poos, it's just his urinating irregulaties that I am concerned about.

Thanks so much filling me up.. :)))
