This may sound silly, but after 2 months I managed to get Jed to recognize the window sill as a place he's allowed on and see the squirrels outside!
I've been clicker training him to follow an ice cream stick. He's pretty well trained in that, but it took me about a whole month to get him onto the cat condo, and then another week or so to get him to climb to the top of the cat condo, and finally onto the window sill.
He still prefers to jump from the floor to the first floor to the window sill. Silly cat. But he's sitting there looking all wide-eyed at the squirrels outside. Next step: bird feeder!
