Ever stayed up too late at night because you didn't want to get up and disturb sleeping kitties?!

That's what happened to me last night, and not for the first time.  I had three cats snuggled up on the futon couch with me and they were just so cute and so comfortable....I didn't want to get up and disturb them.  I ended up staying up an hour later than I had planned, while they slept--how crazy is that.

All the time--and I have just the one cat!

One morning this week, Ritz was on my lap snoozing.  So come 8:30 I say to her, you know I really have to get up and do some errands.  I lift her off my lap, set her down beside me, and she gives this little meow and crawls right back onto my lap for another snooze session.

Errands got postponed for another hour....

The other night my cat was sleeping on my duvet which was folded over, so although I went to bed, I was absolutely freezing because I just had a thin blanket and didn't want to disturb her by unfolding the duvet.

This morning I was almost late for work because my alarm went off and Lucia decided the best place to sleep was on me, but completely under the covers (it was really cold!). I didn't want to move her because it was so sweet but I was going to miss my ride :(

Nope. I love my sleep.  I'm not ashamed to say that I move my cats when I want to get up from the couch or get into or out of bed.  They usually just move to where I was sitting, or laying and go back to sleep, or they follow me and snuggle up when I get into bed.

In fact, Abby sees me heading towards the bedroom and she runs ahead and jumps onto the bed and meows loudly waiting for me to get in and then immediately snuggles in next to me.

Haha I just did something similar this morning. For once Jed wasn't walking all over me being a nuisance about being hungry. The alarm went off and I found Jed just sleeping next to my pillow. Well, he was looking at me with sleepy eyes when I turned off the alarm, and then he went back to sleep with his chin facing the ceiling.

I stared at the ceiling for about another half an hour before he got up and jumped down.

Yes.  I don't really have any lap cats at the moment, so I am so happy if somebody snuggles up with me.  I won't move to eat, sleep, or even reach for the remote for fear of disturbing her.  And it's always a her; Speck is my only gentleman here and he would never dream of sitting on anyone's lap.

Absolutely! There have been times I have been ready to head up to bed and Abby decides that it is lap time instead. :lol3:

Oh, cute stories! I'm glad to know I'm not the only one.

Luciafernanda, I've had the opposite happen--I get too hot under the comforter, but don't want to throw it off because 2 or 3 cats will go flying with it.  LOL
