Why do you need to bathe her? Cats do a good job of grooming themselves. But if she has fleas or is really dirty, I'd give her a bath with a pet-friendly shampoo.

Since shampoo appears to be optional here, I'm assuming you're just trying to freshen her up and not clean up poo out of her fur or anything like that?  Unless she really needs a bath with a good scrubbing for something she can't clean out of her fur on her own, you might try some waterless shampoo or between-bath wipes.  They won't make her sick and they're a quick way to make her seem "cleaner" without having to put her through the stress of a bath.

I justvwanted to freshen her up as she's on cage rest and spends moist day sitting lying and playing in litter box

Cage rest? Can you explain what that means?

If she's spending her time in the litterbox, that could mean she's stressed out about something. I would take her to the vet to get her checked out.

But you can use baby wipes (unscented) or pet wipes from a pet store to give her "cat baths"

Oh then I definitely would not shampoo her. That may too stressful right now. Use unscented baby wipes or pet wipes to spot clean.
