About 8 months ago I took in a cat who was living outdoors. She had a bad mite infection. The vet gave me drops for her ears and also dosed her with Revolution. Still, the mites spread to all my cats, and now months and many different remedies later I am still dealing with this problem. One of the more recent ideas I turned up looking online was to put one or two drops of Revolution directly in the ears.

Has anybody tried this, or seen their vet do it? Did it work?

No.  Revolution is always applied to the back of the head/neck out of the reach of the cat's tongue.  I would speak to your vet to find out what s/he recommends.  There are drops you can use, or the ears may need to be flushed.
